In this talk we see that the biblical understanding of submitting to one another is something different to that of boys fighting in a playground. It is done out of love and out of reverence for Christ. Whether it’s between a husband and wife, our conduct at work, or our brothers and sisters in Christ, submission is an act of loving humility which unites, heals, and witnesses to a God who and submitted himself to death on a cross because he loves you so much. That’s why it’s good to shout, "I submit!"

Joy, Peace and Love are what God wants for us. On this harvest festival when we have so much to thank God for, Jo helps us to see that we have no need to worry!

The multi-billion dollar market in self-improvement books and programmes is proof enough that human beings know there is something wrong with them. And while some of these things are helpful, Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is a powerful reminder that God has already given us everything we need to derive fulfillment and purpose in life.

Children are highly valued in the kingdom of God, and Jesus makes it clear that if we are to enter and become great in that kingdom we must do away with pretension and become trusting and humble like a child. Sheep, likewise, are vulnerable creatures and need a shepherd to keep them safe. Jesus will always look for us and bring us back into his fold when we stray. When He calls his sheep, they hear his voice. Is He calling you today?

Pads asks the question about whether we suffer from the "If Only Syndrome£? Paul in Corinthians had more reason than most to suffer from this but yet we see that God's grace was sufficient.

For Christians the most important relationship is our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The bible says God is love and in his final act of love he took upon himself the sins of the whole world and broke down every barrier that exists between God and human beings and he invites us to put our trust in him and know this love for ourselves. How will we respond?
