PS5 is on fire. Even with supply constraints, the PS5 has already crossed the 10 million units threshold only 9 months after it's release. The behemoth is also getting some much needed user experience improvements in the next firmware release, as well as the mysterious SSD expansion slot finally being activated (with some caveats). The long rumored, and previously leaked, Dead Space Remake was officially announced with a short teaser trailer at last weeks EA Play Live event. Neither of the guys have ever played it, but based on everything they have heard since the announcement they are getting pretty excited to give it a try whenever it is released. Konami, shockingly, seems to be making moves as they look to get back into the gaming space, and last week it was announced that Pro Evolution Soccer is now eFootball and it is going with a free-to-play model. Countless people have long argued that this is the way sports games should go, instead of annualized releases with minimal changes, but do we think that will actually happen? On the same day that preorders went live for the Switch OLED model, Valve officially unveiled the previously leaked Steam Deck. With the promise of the ability to access your entire Steam Library on the go, it seems like the first real competitor to the Switch has entered the handheld arena. Returnal has officially broken Kevin's will, so he has moved on to Skyward Sword HD for the first time, and Sean is replaying it for the first time in 10 years. Sean did it! He beat Returnal! Kevin isn't exactly having the same luck with it as Sean is, so they dive deep into it to try and keep Kevin from throwing in the towel. Rumors around another exclusive Final Fantasy game coming to PS5 picked up steam last week, and now a recent report indicates that the game will actually be a Soulsborne style game based in the world of Final Fantasy 1. The guys are intrigued to say the least. WB Games is also facing a breakup after AT&T decided to sell some of their business over to Discovery, leaving a lot of uncertainty around some of the most popular developers in the industry. The final season of Castlevania released last week, and to say that it ended on a high note would be an understatement. The hype train for Rift Apart continues as PlayStation hosted their latest State of Play which showcased over 15 minutes of new footage, along with some more reveals including Rivet as the name of the female Lombax. Rift Apart continues to be one of the guys most anticipated games of 2021, and everything that was shown only amplified their excitement. MORTAL KOMBAT!!!! The long awaited reboot is finally here and the guys loved it, for the most part. For the last several months, Xbox has been continuously throwing body blows at PlayStation. Whether it be the continued awesomeness of Game Pass, the purchase of Bethesda, or getting PlayStation's own first party MLB game onto Game Pass on day 1, Xbox has been aggressively going after the clear winner of the last generation. Now it seems that PlayStation is punching themselves as well. A Last Of Us Remake that makes no sense, internal strife between first party studios, killing a potential sequel to Days Gone, and more all add up to form a concerning and confusion Sony that we haven't seen since the early days of the PS3.
