Transitioning from Solopreneur to Entrepreneur | Ep #77
03/08/2020 Duración: 19minThere’s a real difference between being a solopreneur and being an entrepreneur. A solopreneur is a worker and it’s mostly about “me.” They do all the work in the business. What you'll learn from this episode: In entrepreneurship, we start to leverage the assets of others. Entrepreneurship is managing people. This is when we start to build systems and replicate-able processes. Making the transition has nothing to do with company size – it’s mindset. Solopreneur boundary challenges are with clients. Entrepreneur boundary issues are with your staff / team, and the work. The importance of moving from “me center” to “we center.” The next podcast will be about transitioning from entrepreneurship to CEO. Why Female Entrepreneurs Must Learn to Tolerate Team Member Mistakes | Ep #74
13/07/2020 Duración: 13minYour growth and your ability to scale and make more money in your business depends on your willingness to allow other people to fail. It depends on your willingness to tolerate other people’s mistakes. What you'll learn from this episode: You don’t have to give up tasks you love to do or that are your superpower. What the definition of “doing it wrong” is to female entrepreneurs. There are people who know how to do what you’ve been doing, and some can even do it better than you. Just because team members sometimes mess up doesn’t mean you dismiss the idea of having help. The investment you make in yourself to be able to learn how to hire, train, onboard, delegate and then hold people accountable - exponentially pays off in your company. Expectations Guilt | Ep #73
06/07/2020 Duración: 17minWhen you are a leader and own a business, it’s not only okay to have expectations, it’s your responsibility to have them. But most female entrepreneurs that I work with usually wrangle with these three issues when it comes to expectations. What you'll learn from this episode: The three main issues that female entrepreneurs wrangle with when it comes to expectations. Many female entrepreneurs think that their expectations are too. The Olive Garden analogy. Many women think it’s selfish to 1) expect things to be done and 2) to want them done in a certain way. Female entrepreneurs tend to worry about what other’s expect of them. This self-evaluative judgement is not useful; it drags you down. Guilt is not useful. Why every female entrepreneur needs a coach. Follow me on Instagram and send me a DM. https://www.instagram.com/krisplachycoach/ For the next three weeks I’m accepting new clients – then none after that for a smidge. You Are Just One Person Away from Magic in Your Business | Ep #71
22/06/2020 Duración: 12minWhen you have one employee who’s bringing your company’s performance down, the impact on the team is very noticeable. Here’s why that one person is standing between you and total magic. What you'll learn from this episode: Once you remove the negative energy from your business and brain you create all kinds of space for something new. If that person hasn’t grown with the business, they’re almost like a memory of who you were when you started, and that’s not who you are today. It keeps you stuck energetically. When you let that person go and create room in your business, then you can get intentional about what you want to create and the results you want to achieve. You have to learn the processes to follow, the words to say, the conversations to have in order to foster the change necessary to get you where you need to be. How to Know What You Don't Know as a Leader | Ep #70
15/06/2020 Duración: 14minThe only way to learn things you don’t know, and to gain an understanding of them, is to be willing to tolerate and sit with discomfort. It doesn’t mean you have to agree. It means you have the opportunity to listen, to stretch and to grow. What you'll find in this episode: Why it’s so important to get out of the echo chamber. Pay attention to how you feel. Leadership Voice | Ep #69
08/06/2020 Duración: 16minWho do you want to be as a leader? When your presence is unfelt, someone else’s will be, and they will control the message and direction of your business. You have a voice whether you’re aware of it or not. So my recommendation is - let’s be aware of it. What you'll find in this episode: Why having a clear sense of direction for your company and what you want to achieve is essential. The heart of the voice is that it has a line to it. It creates clarity. You must be willing to have the consequences and the benefits of that voice. When your presence is unfelt, someone else’s will be. If someone doesn’t want to align to your voice and your vision for your business, let them go. My thoughts for myself as it relates to my voice. Is a High-Performing Team Built from a System or Is It Just Luck? | Ep #68
01/06/2020 Duración: 19minHigh-performing leaders with high-performing teams are able to replicate that over and over again. That’s not luck; that’s a system, and here are the elements of that system for building high-performing teams. What you'll find in this episode: As a leader, you have to have your own expectations of high performance. You have to be self-aware. You have to understand who you are and how you affect the team. Recognize that there is a process to attracting great talent. You must be clear with what you expect of people who work for you. Additionally, there’s the accountability piece – you have to take ownership. Think about what you do and why you hire the people that you hire. You have to be building a team for where you’re going and not for where you’ve been. A high-performing team attracts high-performing players. This requires a leader who is willing to audit her team and trim it when necessary. My Q2 Pivot program here: https://krisplachycoaching.mykajabi.com/q2pivot The Founder’s Lab: https://krisplachy.com
