Jeremy and Matt break down Week 6 of Mountain West play which is a full set of conference games with all 12 teams in action. Who would have thought that San Jose State vs. UNLV could be an early decider for the West Divison this year. Fresno State vs. Boise State was to be some elite game but now both teams enter with questions with new quarterbacks and part of a coaching staff for the Broncos. There is also the Norvell Bowl on Friday night with Nevada taking on Colorado State in a game between two not-so-great teams. They start on Thursday night with Utah State traveling to BYU for the Wagon Wheel and it might just be the last time they play for a long time with the Cougars going to the NFL. A formerly great looking game on the schedule between San Diego State seems more like a pair of floundering teams trying to figure things out. Air Force hosts a bad Navy team and the game of the week might just be San Jose State at Wyoming. We go through the two Friday games that include Air Force vs. Nevada in a very interesting conference tilt. The Falcons are coming off of a surprising loss to Wyoming, and the Wolf Pack are finally back home after an extended game at Iowa which saw them shut out and a game take about seven hours to complete. Boise State looks to get on track with another winnable game at UTEP in an old WAC matchup. On Saturday, the first two games are San Diego State hosting Toledo as a home underdog. The big question is if the Spartans as good as 2020 or as bad as 2021? The real answer likely falls in between the two, The defense is loaded with the majority of the starters back but the offense has some retooling with transfers at wide receiver and quarterback, and the big question of who will run the ball.
