When George was preparing for his first stage of surgery, he was contacted by someone whose professional title with the hospital is "Gender Navigator". Over the course of the surgical process, he has appreciated that person's presence, so when they asked for his input and feedback about his process and interactions with the hospital, he was happy to answer questions and offer his thoughts. As we continue to wait for the insurance and scheduling for George's last stage of surgery, he's been busy with travel and more travel. While George is still recovering from his most recent round of surgery revisions, Child#0 decided to get married and saved the actual planning for the last minute, and Child#2 and Child#3 started back to school. George got repairs done for his lower surgery, then did hyperbaric treatments to help the repairs stick. Transmasculine lower surgeries typically have more complications than most folks like to talk about, but we're talking anyway, because complications and all, it will have been worth it in the end. George went back to his surgeon to discuss the complications with his metoidioplasty, and while he was there he got to have a bit of fun with his Cousin Vinnie. Now he may or may not have an appointment for the next stage of surgery, in less than a week, and we're trying not to get too overwhelmed trying to make that work at such short notice. As we prepare for Jess to visit their non-nesting partner and George to visit Cousin Vinnie and the Surgeon for metoidioplasty follow-up, children needed to be managed and plans needed to be made for their management. As George prepares to go to his follow-up appointment for his metoidioplasty, we have to manage logistics for managing children and a dog while we're away. While away, he hopes to meet up with some potential romantic connections, but re-learning how to flirt and date with the patriarchy now standing behind him is a bit challenging. George is still struggling with the complications from his metoidioplasty, and sometimes feels as though he is quite literally "coming apart at the seams". George has finally levelled up and out of employment.
