They hear Zach Allen explain why the Broncos’ vaunted pass rush didn’t cash in more often. Mike and Stoke are joined by our 9News Broncos Insider, Mike Klis, to get his take on the controversial call and Evan Engram’s role in the offense.

Stoke confronts Mike for dereliction of duty before Mike asks Stoke if he still believes in the Coach Prime experiment. They debate whether the Buffs should throw JuJu into the deep end or if they should go back to Salter. In Stoke’s Telestrator Tuesday, he highlights the Broncos’ most improved player, Troy Franklin, after his showing as one of the bright spots in Indy. Mike and Stoke finish the second hour win 4 Down Territory where they hear explanations for the field goal sequence, huge AFC West implications from last night, Tom Brady’s conflict of interest as Raiders owner, and a litany of QB injuries across the NFL.

The smaller guys get the big guy’s take on Sean Payton taking accountability for the aggressive FG block that ultimately lost the game. The guys discuss Evan Engram’s diminished role in the Broncos offense through the first two games of the season and they wonder why he hasn’t been producing. In Stink’s Telestrator Tuesday breakdown, he looks at the battle in the trenches to examine why the Broncos’ vaunted pass rush was nullified by the Indy O-Line.

Stink and Stoke talk some overreacting Broncos fans of the ledge about Nik Bonitto’s contract and after seeing Sean Payton and Bo jawing at each other again. Mike, Mark, and Stoke finish today's show talking about the NFL’s growing Tom Brady problem.  

Mike Evans and Brandon Stokley kick off today’s show stumbling before they share their instant reactions to the Broncos’ heartbreaking loss to the Colts and explaining the leverage penalty. Mike goes into panic mode after the Broncos’ performance, writing them off as contenders after another uneven performance. The script flipped in the game versus the Colts, the defense struggling this time, and it makes Mike wonder if this defense that got so much preseason hype is overrated. The guys finish the first hour calling out the highest paid guys on the team for failing to play up to their contracts against the Colts.

They debate the efficacy of the Broncos’ run game. Some fans are second guessing Sean Payton’s clock management at the end of the game, Mike and Stoke break down whether they’re right or wrong. The guys finish the second hour in 4 Down Territory where they cover the Broncos’ heartbreaking loss, the last-place Chiefs, a key divisional matchup, and the honeymoon period ending for Coach Prime?

He breaks down the defense’s failures and he gives an unpopular take on the final play. The guys call out the high paid superstar players that disappeared in Indy en route to the Broncos’ loss on the road. The guys have blamed the Broncos’ loss to the Colts and the senior editor at Denver Sports, James Merilatt, actually agrees with the guys for the most part about the week two loss.

They agree that most of the blame is on the players for the loss but there may be something that Sean Payton could be on the hook for, Stoke breaks down the clock management before the field goal. The guys debate an “Oh Really!?” before they discuss the performances in the trenches that played a huge role in the game. Mike, Mark, and Stoke finish today’s Reaction Monday talking about how much the defense let the team down.

They give a concession to The Drive before Mike tells us about going to Oktoberfest in Munich. They hear Vance Joseph rave about the secondary, talking up Talanoa Hufanga and explaining how they’re handling Jahdae Barron’s development. Mike and Stoke finish the first hour answering some Is It Just Me’s about Mike’s to-do lists and hearing Adam Silver’s tone-deaf response to the basketball fans who have to pay to watch the NBA.

The guys wonder if the Colts are a paper tiger considering their opponent was the Dolphins. The guys talk about the Ryan Staub story but Stoke is skeptical about it, is the Staub story too good to be true? Mike and Stoke take a lazy top 25 voter to task for not doing their job properly, but at least they’re better than the Baseball Hall of Fame voters. 4 Down Territory covers the key addition of Talanoa Hufanga, Steichen talks Denver D, a debate about season tickets with PSL’s on the way, and a preview of the AFC west games this week.

They get some reliable insight into Sean Payton’s game planning process from Joel Klatt. Mike and Stoke debate whether Bo should stay aggressive with the ball or err on the side of caution from now on. The guys have an idea that they think will help Bo a lot, is a return to Bo’s rookie roots in play? The guys enter 4 Down Territory where they cover Dre Greenlaw’s health, Bo’s decision making, and the ginger hammer passing on another player punishment.

They are impressed by the accountability that Sean Payton and Bo Nix have shown but Mike doesn’t thinks it’ll amount to much of a difference. Mike Evans and Brandon Stokley open today’s show celebrating the announcement for the Broncos’ new stadium, especially since it’s not in Castle Rock. They imagine all of the marquee events the Mile High City will host come 2031 and beyond. The guys discuss the true meritocracy that Coach Prime is running in Boulder in the age of NIL while they highlight the great story of the Buffs’ prospective QB, Ryan Staub. Carmelo Anthony was inducted into the Hall of Fame and he had some kind things to say about Denver, are you ready to forgive him for the Melo-Drama? Does he deserve to be honored? The guys discuss breakfast on Friday before they gauge the level of concern that the Broncos’ first round pick didn’t start week one.

The guys have been glossing over a lot of college football action because of the Broncos, including a controversial call that ended the UNC-CSU matchup that has Mike donning a tinfoil cap. Mike and Stoke get the 7am listener’s reaction to Mike’s conspiracy theory and the personal seating licenses coming to the Broncos’ new stadium. The guys enter 4 Down Territory where the Broncos enter Colts week, the Broncos announce a new stadium, Coach Prime stays coy about his starter, and the ginger hammer doesn’t drop on Jalen Carter.

They are joined by FOX’s lead college football analyst, Joel Klatt, to get his take on Bo’s performance and continuing development, as well as his take on Sean Payton’s play calling. Stink gets hot and bothered listening to Mike McGlinchey talking about the run game. The guys try to calculate how much fluid Stoke drinks during every show. Mark and Stoke finish the third hour explaining to Mike why Carmelo Anthony doesn’t deserve to have his jersey retired here in Denver.

They are joined by ESPN football analyst Dan Orlovsky to get his perspective on Bo’s rough game and how to fix it week one to week two. A fellow host on the station went way over the top with his criticism of Sean Payton and the guys confront him on that and for his golf fit. They finish today’s show with a story from Stink about Mike Shanahan and some criticism for Fran Brown as they officially begin Colts week.
