Literally, every single one of my homeschool clients has made the statement to me, "I feel like I'm not doing enough" or, "I'm failing my children." And even if you aren't a homeschool mom, I can imagine most of you have said these statements at some point about something in your life. Today, we are going to really dig into that statement and turn it on its head as we look at Who is enough: Jesus. We are NOT enough. We can not DO enough. But in Him, we do the things He has called us to and by His power alone. A few months back we started the Simply Go! initiative here at Simply Living for Him to encourage and equip everyday women in their everyday lives to be on mission for Jesus. The world is hurting and we have the answer. You don't have to travel far to find someone who needs Jesus. You can go right outside your door. Recently I was intrigued when a Facebook friend of mine started posting about her experiences with sharing Jesus every week right there in the Walmart parking lot. She is a homeschool mom with nine children but is stepping out in obedience to the Lord right where she is! My grandmother always said, "You just never know..." when something unforeseen happened. And all I could hear was her voice in my head this morning as I read through my prayer journal from last year at this time, and was taken aback by the things I had prayed for. Some are non-issues at this point. They never even happened. Others were answered in ways I had never imagined. And some were completely upended by the pandemic. In December of 2019, I just had no idea when I wrote out my prayers for 2020 what would be in store.
