Brunch With The Brits

Matt has been working on a long project from work.  Here are four dad's army episodes from Series 3 catching us up with that series.  King Must Die fans you get yours next episode. 

Yes sometimes work gets in the way of these fine shows.  So on Sunday June 29 Matt sat down and recorded some shows..  In this one we'll conclude PG Woodhouse's Smith In The City.  King Must Die fans will look for 307 enjoy

This week we begin the story of Theseus as never told before.  It's Part one of an eleven part epic called The King must Die.  We also return to Warmington On Sea for an hour of Dad's Army and continue our reading of Smith In The City.  We also discuss the French Revolution and Tom Paine's Rights of Man.  Enjoy

This week we continue Smith In The City plus we'll begin to learn of the Madness of King George.  Our feature of course is the Long Goodbye a Philip Marlow novel writeen by raymond Chandler dramatized by Bill Morrison and starring Ed Bishop.  Enjoy

So there I was relaxing this morning coffee on one hand bagel on the other bloody Mary Somewhere between the twain and going through brunch and no wonder 301 is so short.  You're missing Smith In The City Part 1.  Here it is and please enjoy read by Jonathan Cecil.  Again the spirit of Lingard is with us in the voice of Smith.  Enjoy this then go back and listen to 301 His Last Bow.  You'll be glad you did.

However for those of you who can't get enough of Smith fear not as we'll begin Smith In The City.  It's not John Lingard but Jonathan Cecil this time.  It's almost as if the two are walking in one shadow.  Also we'll look at the Irish victims of the American Revolution.  Enjoy.

This week Matt talks about his trip to Westfest and his meeting with Michelle from disneydreamgirls.com no worries Maria was there as well.  But we do have a show a full show in fact as we listen to three more episodes of Navy Lark, follow that up with a look at Yorktown and finish off with Sherlock Holmes and Mike and Smith.  Enjoy.

This week while Matt and Maria are at Westfest enjoy a full brunch including Sherlock Holmes in the Adventure of The Dying Detective three full episodes of Navy Lark plus we continue our look at the American Revolution and give you four more chapters of Mike and P Smith.  Mr. Downy is on the scent.  Enjoy.

As it's the time of yeaar when we think also of ham, brisket and yes ... candy ... here's some brunch.  Only an hour of Navy Lark as we continue Seaason 6 then it's a look at the declaration of Independence plus one of the best Sherlock Holmes cases ever.  We'll conclude as alwys with Mike and P Smith enjoy.

We're returning to This Sceptred Isle this week as we begin to examine The American War of Independence from a British point of view.  We'll also look at some Us history courtessy of Stan Freeberg.  But we also have an hour of Navy Lark and four chapters of Mike and P sSmith.  Our featured drama features Holmes nd watson dealing with a mysterious lodger.  Enjoy.

I certainly hope you're enjoying thge long brunches as much as Maria and I are.  The microphone is sounding better each recording session and we welcome suggestions on its improvements.  Now on to this week.  This week we stawrt as uusual with Navy Lark and three episodes.  It's Four five and six from Season 6 and we hope Mr. Philips is doing better with Heather ... stay tuned.  Then it's off to Baker Street and The Adventure of The Cardboard Box.  We'll end with chapters 5 through 8 of Mike and P Smith read by our dear friend John Lingard.  Enjoy.

This week, Daavid Bales our long time friend and listener is celebrating his birthdaay and we've started recording on the new computer.  The mike needs to be worked on and we're aware of this however we do hope that Mr. Bales aproves of his birthday gift.  We start with not one or two but three Navy Lark episodes as we get season 6 started with a wrip roaring bang.  Then we'll begin a new Sherlock Holmes series.  Finally our co host and friend from across the pond begins his reaading of Mike and P Smith the p as always is silent.  So enjoy and prepare for a lot more longer shows.  Lots more memory means lots more fun in the Brunch studio. 

This week we get a brief look at the start of the American Revolution then it's the long awaited conclusion of this current Lord Peter mystery.  Enjoy.
