With Fred in the hospital gravely ill this is my chance to go solo and yet while I'm flying solo I miss Fred. But fear not. Before Fred got to sick he left me a lesson plan for his hour. So here goes. We begin with Why Bother and hear about Arthur's experiences as a prisoner of war. After that we set sai with Jack Aubrey with HMS Surprise. The Surprise arrives in India where Steven's past is revissited. Finally we meet Lord Peter Whimsay with Whose Body which was first published in 1923. The serial was first produced in late 1973 and 1974 and starrs Ian Carmichael as lord peter. Enjoy and keep Fred in possitive thoughts. After that we turn our thoughts to Fred who will play the final episode of "The Hound Of The Baskervilles," from June 28 1998. After that we proceed to the story none of you guessed. Okay so this horror thing needs a little lightening up. I mean let's face it there were Santa Ana winds a plenty this week while Brunch was being put together Dsl's were not connecting or disconnecting I tested new work software and yet and yet ... Brunch is on time. And what's on tap for Brunch 38? Well we start with "Billion Dollar Baby," a profile of Alice Cooper by a leading bBritish rock jock. After an hour with Alice we listen again to "As Time Goes By," and travel back 700 years or so to check on or favorite knight and learn what happens when "The Castle," gets a satellite dish. As most of you know from my profile I have been blind since birth. But it hasn't stopped me from leading a fully capable life full of enjoyment adventure love and hapiness. So last week when "Blindness was released in theaters I had to see if our pals at the BBC had released the book as a drama. They have and it's good. Two surprises. What's one of Fred Bertelsen's greatest atributes? You can say fine radio host outstanding co host has an extemperaneous side is willing to help anyone with anything otr or BBC related but he's also a bit of a snoop. In a good way. This is a program called dDead Fall and was part of the CBC mystery project or as they say project take the pro part likepro sports and you get the idea. There comes a time when people make mistakes. Even the Great Big Bird of Sesame Street fame or didn't you have Big Bird Sings when you were a child. Such was the case with Matt Cox last week when he unwittingly sent Fred Brideshead 3 for the final editing. Because of this and to keep the story current you're getting two episodes this week plus a Graham Green thriller from Fred. More about these in a moment but first a poll question. And so this week we begin Brideshead Revissited. It's the story of Charles Rider and his friendship with Sebastian Flight. We look back with Charles from his time as a captain in the infantry in 1944. The story really begins in 1923 with the introduction of Charles and Sebastian. Remember this was a tv show and a recent film besides a book. As you listen pay attention to the different classes. We then spin out of this world with Fred to finish Hitchhikers and return to the little world of Don Camillo. Enjoy. What is the answer to life the universe and everything in it? Well gang if you've seen the film hear the radio series that literally started it all. Oh yes before the book there was a radio series. Okay so this week is Doc Green I should have looked I should have looked but I didn't okay? I had other things to do like listen to the all about the mouse podcast for the first time but this week here's your Doc Green we finish Cadfel finish Mrs. Bradley and I like Peter Cook so much we look at how Sir Arthur builds minature Christs. All right it's British humor I've been wanting to put some comercials together to see if some of my podcast pals will pbut with brunch bein even a bit explicit with the occasion d word h word and so on. Okay everyone guess what? Guess what? Only two more eps and we're so caught up it's not even funny. Yes caught up. For starters we're introducing you to Mrs. Lestrange Bradley psycholoist detective and all around busy body. Everyone enjoy her because the program is called "Mystery of a Butcher Shop." Anyway Fred continues Cadfel and we get a half hour with Mr. Dixon. Btw guys and galses I'm so almost done uploading with these and od it feels great to be caught up. Btw listening to All About the Mouse while uploading. Unique.

Okay gang. I have to admit I can't remember what in the name of God I played but I do know that there's Inspector West 7 and cadfel 3. I think this one has the Undiscovered casebook of Sherlock Holmes which is one of my favorite satires I've discoveed. Okay gang here's Brunch 22 and boy was this fun. We returned to Jeeves or ws this the infamous Sherlock Holmes or Dial M/ I can't remember but we finished West continued Cadfel and well enjoy these two hours. We're almost caught up just as I'm almost caught up on my Disney podcasts.
