AFQ S10E15: When You Only Saw One Set Of Footprints (Week 14 Review + Week 15 Preview)
10/12/2024 Duración: 01h41minSuperstars had to step and up put their team on their backs as it was a week of playoff teams running into each other, and sparks were flying. Josh Allen threw for three touchdowns, and ran in three more, but he was unable to carry the Bills to victory over the LA Rams. The Detroit Lions went for it on 4th down with the game on the line to not let Jordan Love get the ball back in his hands. The Chiefs third string kicker doinked a field goal off the uprights to beat the Chargers at the buzzer; and the Seahawks popped a bottle of Charbonnet all over the moribund defence of the Arizona Cardinals. We look at all the games from week 15, then turn our attention to the matchups this weekend. The Bills travel to Detroit for a massive game for both teams’ playoff seeding, Russell Wilson will lead the Steelers into the Eagles nest for the battle of Pennsylvania. The Dolphins look to keep their playoff hopes alive against a floundering, but now well rested, Houston Texans team. Brock Purdy and whomever they offer up as

S10E14: SupEberflus to Requirements (Week 13 Review + Week 14 Preview)
05/12/2024 Duración: 01h16minSupEberflus to Requirements (WEEK 13 REVIEW + WEEK 14 PREVIEW) Thanksgiving is over but there were few thanks in Chicago as the Bear fire Head Coach Matt Eberflus as a botched late game sequence was the final act of a stint filled with bad mistakes, bad luck and bad offense. In our news section, we break down the Eberflus firing alongside a deserved suspension for Al-Shaair for his hit on Trevor Lawrence, the landing spot for Danny Dimes and the big injury wave hitting the 49ers, Lions and Saints. In our Week 13 review we break down a tough across conference battle as Saquon and the Eagles grind down the Ravens, a lucky escape for Bucs as they win in OT vs a spicy but unlucky Panthers outfit, a vital comeback for the Vikings as clutch Darnold play punishes the Cardinals redzone woes, a messy win for the Chargers as their defence causes a Cousins meltdown in Atlanta and a wild MNF where Jameis big plays for both sides were the difference as the Broncos escape with a win over the Browns. We also preview the

S10E13: Tanks Giving (Week 12 review + Week 13 preview)
28/11/2024 Duración: 01h41minIt’s Thanksgiving, so what are we thankful for? Heart attack inducing close wins for our own teams? Missed calls from the refs? I guess we are happy that Watson is out so there is that? Real football starts on Thanksgiving, but some teams don’t appear to be giving it a full try. The Tanks Giving starts here. The Giants have benched, and release, Daniel Jones. The Raiders are onto their third string QB. The Browns are playing spoiler to teams that have playoff ambitions, and the Jets are, well, the Jets. We look at the games from last week, take in all the news from around the league, and look forward to next weeks matchups. A big week of games where Steelers can fully close the door on the Bengal’s hopes, the Ravens take on the Eagles in a battle of the RBs, and the well-rested Bills get to host the 49ers. 21/11/2024 Duración: 01h21minIt's Joever (WEEK 11 REVIEW + WEEK 12 PREVIEW) The Jets disaster continues as they fire General Manager Joe Douglas. We break down what this means for the team and for Aaron Rodgers. We also cover the other big news including injuries for Nick Bosa and Alex Anzalone. In our Week 11 Review we analyse another heartbreaking Bears loss as blocked field goal secures Green Bay a tight win, a AFC North slugfest as the canny Steelers bear the brittle Ravens, the first Chiefs loss of the season as the Bills bully their way into contention for the #1 seed, a vital Seahawks win as Geno rush TD beats their division rival 49ers and a wild back and forth Sunday Night football as the Bungles waste a Chargering leaving Burrow's play off chances on life support. We also preview the Week 12 slate with a special focus on an NFC North battle as the Bears hope their salvage their season by beating a slowing Vikings team and a Monday Night Football Harbowl as the Harbaugh brothers duke it out as the Ravens travel to play the Ch

AFQ S10E11: The UnBearable Weight of Massive Talent (Week 10 Review + Week 11 Preview)
13/11/2024 Duración: 01h56minWeek 10 is in the books and The Bears have decided enough is enough, it’s time for a change. They’ve axed Shane Waldron, hoping to get their Offence back working. The Chiefs blocked a field goal to remain undefeated, Dak Prescott has checked out for the season with surgery leaving Cooper Rush vs Trey Lance, Trever Lawrence might be on the injury heap for the rest of the year, the Panthers won a terrible game in Germany and Pittsburgh trade for multiple players at the deadline to bolster a playoff bound Russel Wilson team? A lot is going on! We check in on all the week 9 games including Cincinnati’s failed 2 point conversion to lose to the Ravens and the fighting on the sidelines in San Fransisco. We look forward to all the week 10 matchups including Chiefs at Bills, Washington at Philly, even *shudder* Houston at Dallas. S10E10: Latter Day Saints (Week 9 Review + Week 10 Preview)
05/11/2024 Duración: 01h14minWEEK 9 REVIEW + WEEK 10 PREVIEW We have passed the halfway point of the season and for some teams that means getting ready for big games and for others big changes with the season already lost. This week saw the Saints let beleagured Head Coach Dennis Allen go after seven straight losses and we evaluate the significant surgery needed to bring New Orleans back to life. We also look at the offensive coach clear out in Las Vegas, a offensive line trade by Minnesota and a big injury for Dak Prescott who will miss significant time for the floundering Cowboys. In our Week 9 review we look at how the Seahawks screwed themselves and let the solid Rams get a vital NFC West victory, assess how the Bills grabbed a close against type victory vs the improved Dolphins with dink & dunk offense and a big field goal, get ready for Jets hype as Rodgers magic and facing an awful offensive line beat the flailing Texans and a near meltdown for the Eagles as they nearly waste an epic Saquon (the backwards hurdle!) performance an

S10E09: Daniels Takes Command
31/10/2024 Duración: 01h50minWeek 8 is in the books and the first round of Daniels versus Williams suggests the NFC might have some exciting young QBs facing off for the next couple of years. A last second Hail Mary saw the Commanders seal the deal against the Bears who had mounted a strong 4th quarter comeback. The Browns stopped starting Watson and started winning, as the Ravens fell short against their divisional rivals. Kansas City added DeAndre Hopkins, beat the Raiders, then traded for some pass rush help; and the Dolphins got Tua back, but is it too late for them to mount a challenge this year? We got through all the week 8 games in detail, then look forward to what will happen in the week 9 matchups including Detroit at Green Bay, Dallas at Atlanta and a Thursday Night Football matchup that sees Aaron Rodgers attempt to revive the Jets’ season against an ailing Houston Texans squad that is now down Stefon Diggs too. S10E08: We Men are Wretched Things (Week 7 Review + Week 8 Preview)
24/10/2024 Duración: 01h23minWe Men are Wretched Things (Week 7 Review + Week 8 Preview) It was an injury ravaged weekend of NFL action but no injury was as significant as the torn achilles of controversial Browns QB DeShaun Watson. We break down the implications for Watson and the Browns franchise both this season and in the seasons to come. We also assess the other major injuries to stars such as Aiyuk and Godwin plus look at a suspension for Jameson Williams, Buffalo's trade for Amari Cooper and the end of Reddick's Jets holdout. In our week 7 review we pore over a riveting back and forth NFC North battle as the Goff balls out to let the Lions pip the Vikings, assess a mad Jordan Love performance whose highs just about outweighed the lows vs a Texans team well able to run but struggling to pass, no Super Bowl revenge as the Chiefs defense break down a battered 49ers offense and Sunday night humiliation as defense, hard running and a solid Russell Wilson beat up Rodgers flailing Jets. We also preview each week 8 game with special at

S10E07: Reunited (and it feels so good)
17/10/2024 Duración: 01h40minWeek 6 is in the books, and it was not the most compelling week of games. Daniels and the Washington Commanders showed their quality in a tight game against the Baltimore Ravens, but Lamar and company showed themselves to be a cut above. Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay dropped a 50 burger on the Saints, the Bengals squeaked a win over the Giants to keep their season alive and Buffalo cemented their place atop the AFC East with a close win over the Rodger led Jets. But this has also meant a few teams are springing into action to try to improve their rosters, including a familiar face joining Rodgers in New Jersey… We go through all of last weeks games, then look forward to a very tasty week 6 slate including the Chiefs taking on the 49ers and Detroit traveling to Minnesota. All this and much, much more on your one-stop shop for news, views, and overreactions to all things NFL, the All Four Quarters podcast!

10/10/2024 Duración: 01h26minLEAVING ON A JETS PLANE (WEEK 5 REVIEW + WEEK 6 PREVIEW) The NFL shocks continue with the big drama occuring off the field this week as the Jets fire Head Coach Robert Salah only 5 games into the season. We break down why it may have happened and what it means for Aaron Rodgers and the Jets for the rest of the season. In our Week 5 review we look at each game with special attention for how Lamar magic took down a Bengals team creating its own bad luck and how the Cardinals shocked the 49ers thanks to a solid 2nd half performance. We also preview every Week 6 game with a focus on a Thursday night NFC West tilt as the flawed 49ers and Seahawks fight it out, the Battle of the Beltway as the hot Commanders face a big challenge in the Ravens and a NFC showdown as the Lions look to come off their bye with a win over the ailing Cowboys. S10E05: God Save the King, Henry
03/10/2024 Duración: 01h34minWeek 4 is in the books and has left a few fans wondering how their team is going to shake out this season. Derrick Henry racked up over 200 yards in the Raven’s demolition of the Bills, but should the Buffalo faithful be worried? Sam Darnold led the Vikings to a victory over the Packers in a game that was in hand, until it wasn’t in the 4th quarter, but should cheeseheads be down in the dumps? The Chiefs are 4 and 0, but have lost another player to injury, can this offence last the season at this rate? We look at all of last weeks games, preview all the week 5 matchups, and look forward to the AFQ trip to London to see Aaron Rodger’s Jets take on Sam Darnold’s Vikings. All this and much, much more on your one-stop shop for news, views, and overreactions to all things NFL, the All Four Quarters podcast!

S10E04: Red Rifle Redemption
26/09/2024 Duración: 01h46minIt’s Week 3, and like many a recent season, we have very little sense of who’s good and who’s a fraud. The 49ers might be frauds, based on their collapse against the injury-hit Rams. The Bengals, who dropped to 0-3 after their defense was completely incapable of stopping the Jayden Daniels-inspired Commanders offense, probably are frauds. As for the Chiefs, who stumbled past the Falcons, and the Lions, who looked solid against the Cardinals, the AFQ boys are a little more upbeat. Andy Dalton’s performance against the Raiders suggests that Bryce Young at least is a fraud; and the Eagles and Saints’ offensive struggles against each other asks many fraud-related questions too. We break down all the action from Week 3, focusing on those six games. We also look at the recent news, from Derwin James’s suspension to the latest collection of players added to the league-wide injury crisis. In our Week 4 previews, we focus on a big NFC North battle between the surprising Vikings and the impressive Packers, another pot

S10E03: When you were Young (Week 2 Review + Week 3 Preview)
19/09/2024 Duración: 01h48minWEEK 2 REVIEW + WEEK 3 PREVIEW We are only two weeks into the season but NFL chaos is already in full swing as the Panthers new coach Dave Canales makes his first "big boy" move as he benches 2023 #1 overall pick Bryce Young for the veteran Andy Dalton after two ugly blowouts. We break down this decision and also review injury omnishambles hitting the NFL with a special focus on the Dolphins, Rams, Chiefs and 49ers. We review the Week 2 slate as the Chiefs sneak an ugly win over a desperate Bengals, the Baker's Bucs shake off a mistake-prone Lions, Cousins gets his cool back leading a Falcons comeback over the Eagles, Geno's poise lets the Seahawks pip the Patriots in OT, Carr & Kamara excel as the Saints march all over the Cowboys and the Darn-aissance continues as the Vikings send the 49ers back to Skol. We also preview the entire Week 3 slate where we highlight the next big test for Vikings Miracle as they face off against DeMeco Ryan's Texans with their phenom QB CJ Stroud, an NFC battle as Detroit and

S10E02: The face that crashed 1000 championships
12/09/2024 Duración: 02h23minWeek one is in the books and what a big one it was! The Patriots took it to the Joe Burrow led Bengals in the upset of the week, Aaron Rodgers still has two functioning legs (to our knowledge), the Chiefs won the rematch of the AFC Championship due to a Raven’s players big toe, and the 49ers got their run game reestablished by feeding Jordan Mason. We chop up all the news from around the league, the impact of Love’s injury for the Packers, are the Dolphins to be trusted this season and is Joe Burrow washed? We review all the week 1 games and look forward to the week 2 matchups, telling you who will win and why. S10E01: Dare to Dream (Week 1 Preview)
05/09/2024 Duración: 01h49minThe wait is finally over – AFQ Season 10 is here! (And, coincidentally, the new NFL season is here too.) We put our prophesizing hats on and cast our gaze towards the coming season, to let you know who’s going to live up to the hype and who’s about to crash and burn. Is this the season Garrett Wilson rises to full-on superstar status? Has the Jim Harbaugh hype reached unsustainably nauseating levels? And are we really about to witness a fairytale Detroit Lions Super Bowl-winning season? In catching up on all the pre-season news, we bid farewell to Big Dick Nick, discuss whether Brandon Aiyuk is worth ‘Top 5 WR’ money, and wonder if the NFL opening the door to private equity money is a poisoned chalice or simply a way to get cash injections into the poorer teams in the league. We finish by previewing the Week 1 action. We focus on a tasty opening game, as the dominant Chiefs begin their hunt for the three-peat against their bested AFC rivals the Baltimore Ravens; the first NFL game to take place in Brazil, a

S09E36: The Saints Might Need a Miracle (NFC South Preview)
11/07/2024 Duración: 01h05minThe more things change the more they stay the same, this is true for at least half of the NFC South as AFQ takes a look at the Falcons, Saints, Panthers and Buccaneers. The Falcons are the biggest changeup, new coach in Raheem Morris, new QB in Kirk Cousins; but potential controversy with Michal Penix Jr. being drafted as the heir apparent to their $200 million QB that has yet to take a snap? The Panthers are hoping to turn around the fortunes of last year’s top draft prospect Bryce Young. They’ve got him a QB friendly coach in Dave Canales, a possible WR1 in Xavier Legette, and about 15 new linemen to try to keep him upright. Have they done enough to turn the corner? The Buccaneers are big fans of their own work from before and would like more of it please. Even though they barely scraped into the post-season and have a roster that feels more 2019 than 2024, they’re running back Baker, Evans, Godwin and the gang. They’ve shown they’ve got the recipe for mild success; they are happy with mild success it see

S09E35: Throw them to the Lions (NFC North Preview)
04/07/2024 Duración: 01h03minWho would win in a fight, a bear or a lion? How about a Viking versus a… factory worker? All Four Quarter's offseason division previews turn to the NFC North this week where for a bunch of cold weather teams, things are really heating up. Dan Campbell’s lions came just short of the Superbowl last year and have locked down their in-house talent to take another run at it. Standing in their way are the end of year upstarts from last season, the Jordan Love led Packers. They surprised a few teams in the playoffs last year, but will people see them coming this time around? The Bears are in full hype mode with the second coming of Jesus Christ in QB form, Caleb Willliams. They’ve paired him with Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen in hopes that he can hit the ground running in year one. The Vikings may have lost Kirk Cousins in the offseason, but they feel that Justin Jefferson could catch the ball from just about anyone, so Sam Darnold will test that theory until JJ McCarthy is deemed starter (spoiler, we think it might

E09E33: A Million Ways to Die in the West (AFC West Preview)
20/06/2024 Duración: 59minAFC WEST PREVIEW After three weeks of slogging through the AFC divisionals, we finally reach Conor’s favourite pod of the year: his chance to talk up the Chiefs and hurl fiery invectives at their rivals in the AFC West. We break down all four teams, three of whom seem to be in a state of constant transition. Can the Broncos possibly win 8 games again with the worst QB room in NFL history? Will Jim Harbaugh overcome the cursed Chargers aura through sheer force of will? Will the Raiders ever amount to anything more than a prison for the talent of Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams? And can anything stop the Chiefs from winning it all again? All this and much, much more in your one-stop shop for news, views and overreactions to all things NFL, the All Four Quarters podcast!
