The church is on the run! Philip the Evangelist is led by God to leave Samaria to the desert, where he meets an Ethiopian Eunuch. In this passage we learn 2 things; that God is gathering the outcasts, and how we are to "Live Sent" to tell this good news.

In Acts chapters 5 and 6, we see the believers of the early church living in community together and selling and sharing their resources as there was need. It's a tight knit community, but is not without those who would seek to serve themselves as witnessed in Ananias and Sapphira's deceit. This deceit was propelled by selfishness which then caused division among the believers. How does living sent together change what we do with our own stuff and money?

As the early church in Jerusalem started to grow, the Jewish leaders started to see their presence as a threat. They tried to silence the growing group of Jesus followers, but those who were filled with the Holy Spirit couldn't keep quiet. What does this mean for us today as we live sent together?

As we dive into the context of Acts Chapters 2 through 4, we see the church devoted to God and community. We too, are called to be devoted, and there are things that propel us towards a deeper devotion. There are also things that stall us in our devotion, so what should we do?

We take a deeper look into the book of Acts chapter 2, and we see what happens when the disciples receive the power of the Holy Spirit. The power that they are given is also given to every follower of Christ, so how does this power drive us to live sent?

The book of Acts is what life looks like when the church believes in and lives out the gospel. Jesus walks with the disciples and promises that the Holy Spirit will come on us as man, and we will do great things through the strength and guidance he gives us. What is our response?

We are all leaders in the kingdom, and where we lead will be different from person to person. With leadership though, comes struggles. Eric brings us through Exodus 13:17 - 14:15 to examine Moses' leadership and the trials he came against, and to learn from them in our modern context.

In John 17, Jesus prays the longest prayer in the New Testament. Jesus is interceding on behalf of all of us followers of Christ. What does that mean for us?

The concept of eternal life can bring up many different ideas. For some of us, the picture of an ethereal form of energy comes into our minds when we hear "Eternal Life". The scriptures tell us many different things about eternal life, so what does it really mean?

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and we hope for many things. During autumn, we can put our hope in the outcome of a football game or a perfectly ripe apple. Faith is set on our hopes, so what is the focus of our hopes?

On the night Jesus would be betrayed, he gives us a new commandment: “to love on another as he has loved us.” Today, we take look at what it means to love like Jesus.
