The original story of Christmas is just filled with 'journeys'. Seven of them to be precise. Angels of the heavenly host made two journeys to announce the coming. Mary and Joseph made the long journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. The shepherds made a brief journey into town from their outpost up on the hills. And of course, the wise men, journeyed far from their royal courts in the east. And don't forget the dreadful journey of escape from the sword of Herod, intent on killing the new-born threat. But...oh...that 7th journey! It was the greatest journey of them all. There was ugly politics in the church at Corinth; just as ugly as America's politics today. Some angry enemy was scouring Paul's every move, hoping to find a character flaw.
