As this news comes out, where are the health professionals on the torture of solitary confinement in US prisons? Many political prisoners have been held in solitary confinement for decades although the international community views it as torture. Palestinian Political Prisoner Rasmea Odeh was "sentenced to eighteen months in prison and a fine of one thousand dollars for lying on an immigration and citizenship application." The Federal prosecutor in the case used a confession Rasmea Odeh made in a 1969 “terrorism” conviction in an Israeli military court to prove she lied on her US immigration application by failing to disclose it.
