In this passage today, we see a case where the apostle Paul shares his testimony. In a testimony, we learn of the change that Jesus Christ has made in one's life.

Through knowledge of God's Word, obedience to God, and a yielded heart to do the Will of God regardless of the costs, one can discover the Will of God.

Paul's admonitions to leaders can also apply to every Christian at some level. Today we will see an emphasis on one's own inner life, on building up others, and on keeping God's Word central.

Today we will see the practical steps that God uses in the advancement of the Gospel.THere is a very important process that unfolds in this passage.

Tonight we will explore a passage in 2 Timothy that provides a prescription for 'right living'

As believers, what is our preoccupation? In our text today, we will see that nothing should 'rob' us of our preoccupation with Jesus Christ. If we understand who we are in Christ and what God has done for us, and also what we have waiting in the future, it really shouldn't be that difficult to adjust life accordingly.

In the Christian life, the Word of God tells us what the goal or the finish line is. This morning, at the beginning of a new year, let's take a look at what it takes to finish our race well.

What is the church's mission as we journey into the new year? Who are we to be as the church

We have a Savior.Not only has this Savior defeated sin and the grave but, He is also preparing a place for us. Darkness will be replaced by God's glorious light. That is the hope we have at Christmas.

In today's passage we see that gratitude is to be our response to the grace of God and the goodness of God.

What we see in today's passage is how God blesses the spread of His Word even when circumstances are not the best. These verses are a testimony to us of the premium God places on the Great Commission, and how nothing is to take away from it or overshadow it.
