Today we begin a new sermon series on the book of Acts. We are going to be talking about being a missions-minded people. Are we filled, focused, and obedient. This is the business of the church.

Today, as we look at the triumph of Jesus Christ over the grave, we celebrate that He lives. Let's look today at our Christian hope, a hope not only for now, but a hope beyond the grave. This is the glorious message we proclaim at Easter.

The Gospel is good news because without God's intervention no one would be saved. In these 3 chapters, Paul talks about the wonder of the Gospel.

Christ entering our darkness to provide our redemption is what this passage is all about. John 1 may possibly be the most profound page in the entire New Testament.

What we learn in this text is that from the moment of our conversion, time and opportunities are to take on added significance.

Our text today is about hidden treasure, but hidden treasure of a more significant kind. All three of the parables we will look at today emphasize the inexpressible worth of the Kingdom. Do we really understand how valuable it is to discover Jesus?

The Gospel is that God has intervened in the human predicament to give us eternal life and forgiveness.

This sermon is an introduction to "Follow Me" Discipleship series that will begin next week. What we will see is the radical way in which Jesus defined what being a Christian involves.

In this passage, Paul is challenging us to examine our lives and do a "Spiritual Checkup" of sorts.

The Bible has much to say about grace. It is a word that is found more than 150 times in the New Testament. The main thought in today's passage is that God's grace is always sufficient.

In this chapter Paul is addressing division in the church. Paul wants to make certain that the group whom he considers to be the true church not be led astray by another group. Sometimes the truth is worth fighting for!

Today we will look at what I have called Christian Battling. Do you face battles as a Christian. Some might immediately object by saying, "Christians don't battle." But I beg to differ. Yes we do.

What we will see in this passage today is how the entrance of Jesus into a man's life changes his perspective on all of life.

What we see today is that God has intervened in human history for the benefit of those who come to faith in His Son. God keeps His promises.

God communicates very clearly and powerfully. We see here today that Jesus Christ is the ultimate way in which God has communicated to the human race.

Clearly relationships matter, not only to us, but especially to God. What we see here is that God values the relationships His children have with one another, and when things go wrong, we are to take practical steps to make things right.
