This week, developments in the Middle East have once again drawn our attention to the prophetic Scriptures. Israel is escalating its military operations in Gaza City, while the region faces worsening famine and starvation.These events reflect the ongoing hostility from the Gaza Strip—the ancient territory of the Philistines—and speak to the latter-day prophecies concerning this region.

Here is a video presentation that exposes how media bias has given way to full scale propaganda, and how it fits in with the Bible.  There is a lot said about deception in the last days, we touch on a few spots.  The Catholic Church is deeply involved, but we focus on the fabrication of lies in Israel and Gaza, and how those lies are amplified by the media.

The war of dreamsEver since May 1948, when David Ben-Gurion read the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel, there has been a war of dreams or a war of ideology taking place among the Jewish people in their land. 

 On October 6th, 2023, the eve of the October 7th attacks, Israel faced perhaps its most perilous strategic environment in half a century. Hamas was poised to launch its deadliest assault since the Yom Kippur War of 1973. To the north, Hezbollah boasted 100,000 trained fighters and an estimated arsenal of 120,000 missiles. Iran stood dominant, its nuclear weapons program advancing and its regional influence expanding, backed by the Houthis in Yemen, militias in Iraq, Assad in Syria, and its proxies in Gaza and Lebanon. This “Ring of Fire” encircled Israel, threatening overwhelming retaliation should it strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden was seen as a restraining force on any Israeli pre-emptive action.

This spirit of liberty, equality, and fraternity has instigated into the populace of the globe, not peace on earth, but the pride of man.

Glastonbury is a music festival in the UK held every year with a turnout of around 200,000 people. After the festival was held last week, one particular clip has been subject to huge amounts of criticism and scrutiny because of it’s clear antisemitism and incitement to violence.

As Bible in the News is in progress, another dramatic night is exploding in the Middle East. Yemen attacked Israel again. Israel responded with a targeted assassination. The Houthis Chief of Staff and his deputies were assassinated. Israel is responding to Iran’s indiscriminate missile attacks on civilian centers in Israel. Tehran is burning. During the past week Israel moved to establish 22 new communities in the area of Judea and Samaria, a move that furthers Israel’s sovereignty over the area. The Bible speaks of sowing Judea and Israel with the seed of men, and this move is further advancement of the angelic hand in bringing about God’s plan.

On the night of the 16th May, Israel launched a new but preplanned operation in Gaza called “Operation Gideon’s chariots”. This new offensive is deploying forces to seize more territory in the Gaza Strip.

The prophetic scriptures, particularly Ezekiel 38, depict a scenario in the "latter days" where Tarshish and her "young lions" stand in opposition to a northern confederacy invading Israel.Recent geopolitical trade deals involving the United Kingdom (Tarshish) and its former colonies (her young lions) highlight the unfolding of divine purpose in our times.

As the world held its breath, the Cardinals of the Catholic Church elevated a man to the position of “holy father”, yet the Lord Jesus Christ instructed his followers to “call no man father”. The Catholic Church lives up to the scriptural description of AntiChrist and Man of Sin with this latest conclave. The protestant world has stopped protesting, but the scripture is clear on the inevitable future of this system that has gone astray from the Bible. 

Since Britain joined the Common Market (the predecessor to the European Union), BIble believers have been convinced that Britain could not remain a member of the union by the time of Christ’s presentation to the world. In 1990, a chapter in the book “Guardians of Israel and Arabia” a chapter was titled “Britain’s Exit from Europe is Inevitable!”. The chapter argued that Britain as Tarshish could not be on both sides of the conflict of Armageddon, and as we see in Ezekiel 38 that Tarshish is opposing (although weakly)  the invasion of the land, it cannot also be part of that confederacy of nations that come down into the land.

IntroductionIran and the US have just finished a second round of nuclear talks today (April 19th) in Rome, with a third round planned for next Saturday in Oman. The reason Iran have returned to the table seems to be because of the threat of military action from Israel, sanctioned by the US administration. On Wednesday of this week, Trump was asked about an Israeli plan to strike Iranian nuclear sites as early as next month. He said that he “want  in a rush to do it”. He also said in quintessential Trump language: “I think that Iran has a chance to have a great country and to live happily without death... That's my first option. If there's a second option, I think it would be very bad for Iran”. Trump has given Iran a two month deadline for reaching an agreement.

The Confirmation hearing of Mike Huckabee gave special insight in the direction the Trump Administration hopes to take its policies on the Middle East. Huckabee, a Christian, made no bones about his support for Israel being based on the Bible and the promises to Abraham.

Since being sworn in for his second term, Donald Trump has been characteristically unpredictable with his trade policy. Tariffs on Canada and Mexico were announced first, then retracted just before coming into force. Rhetoric on tariffs has at times suggested that Trump believed they could completely replace income tax, while at other times he has been less extreme.
