Most people have unfortunately heard more ‘about’ the book of Revelation, than they have heard from God from the book itself! Jesus message to the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 was written to encourage us today, it applies to us today, and it strengthens our faith in the tribulation that we are facing today!

The book of Revelation was written to remind a group of harassed churches that God is in control and He will take care of those who follow Him. Even when it seems like your world is falling apart, remember who is ultimately in charge!

Jesus had told His followers that He would be betrayed, that He would suffer, that He would die, and that is exactly what happened that first Good Friday almost 2000 years ago. But Jesus also told His disciples that on the on the third day He would be raised from the dead, and that is exactly what happened – just as He said! Jesus is alive and you can have new life – come celebrate Easter with us this year at Springbrook!

Festivals and Sabbath may not be ideas that we think about much today, but Leviticus 23 shows us that they are an amazing gift from God to keep Him at the center of our lives. In the Old Testament these were part of God’s law for His people, but what should they look like today, and how do they point us to Christ?

What comes to mind when you think about worship? Maybe it is gathering on a Sunday, or music and songs. Those are certainly expressions of worship, but as we find in Leviticus 22, genuine worship reflects the holiness and greatness of God and points us to the magnificence of the cross!

In the Old Testament, the reality of sin was an unresolvable reality. Sin was and is a pollutant that weakens and deteriorates all of creation, including the very space where people sought to be right with God. Come join us as we look through Leviticus 16 at the imperfect solution in Leviticus and the perfect solution that comes at the cross.

From the moment Adam and Eve were removed from the garden, sin became a barrier separating humanity and God. In the Old Testament this barrier remained, even for the priests of God. Come look with us through Leviticus 8-10 at the amazing freedom we find in the cross with the removal of barriers that separate us from God.

For us today, sacrifice means giving something up on something that costs us a little money, comfort, or convenience. Sacrifice in the Bible, however, as we will find in Leviticus 1, has a much deeper meaning and in many cases is a bloody reality! Bring whatever you have as we move toward Easter and explore the significance of faith.

You have probably seen images of the armor of God rendered as the stuff of Arthurian legends, but it seems unlikely that in Ephesians 6:10-18 Paul had this image in mind. Instead, Paul lays out his communal approach to standing strong in the faith using the imagery of Roman soldiers that can help us stand strong to this day.

When we give our heart to the Lord what does it mean in a practical sense, in our lives? The answer is greater than you could ever imagine! Join us for this special Valentine’s Day message from John 14 as we explore the reality of what it means to have God in us!

Division, anger and disunity seem to be everywhere in our culture, but when we gather as God’s people something amazing happens. The presence of God, and the power of the gospel is most beautifully displayed in Ephesians 2:11-22, in the context of our togetherness.

Do you ever wish that your GPS could give you directions for life and not just the fastest route to grandma’s house? As the people of Israel journeyed through the wilderness in Numbers 9, the guiding presence of God showed them the way every single day. Together we will discover that He is still guiding His people today.

God gives us His presence so that we might know Him! He does not just want you to know about Him, but to truly know Him. In Exodus 19 we see how God granted His holy presence to His called-out people so that they might know Him, but while for the people of Israel a barrier remained, now for those of us who are in Christ, the barrier has been removed and God invites us to experience and enjoy His presence.

Everything started out great in the first chapter of Genesis, when we were enjoying all the benefits of being physically present with God. We are not currently experiencing the original design for our relationship with God today, but the good news is that the last chapter of Revelation gives us a glimpse of how much better our physical relationship with God will be!

This baby born in a manger is the Messiah, the Son of God, who will bring peace to the world. Isaiah 11:1–12 reminds us that Jesus has rescued us from being enemies of God, so we can learn to be at peace with all.
