Aaah, it's an idyllic vacation spot, the Paradise Towers. Come see the robotic cleaners, the high tech accomodations and the pool on the top floor! ... • Who's Who #108: Terror of the Vervoids

    23/11/2017 Duración: 41min

We're running out of serials featuring Colin Baker, and it's with a little bit of sadness and annoyance that we're about to be leaving him behind. We never got to know him, and never is it more obvious than in a serial like this one. • Who's Who #106: The Mysterious Planet

    02/11/2017

When traveling the universe, you'll quickly learn that most planets are fairly dull and uninteresting. They're mainly just chunks of rock or gas floating around a star of some sort. They have no real distinguishing features. Sometimes, you'll find an interesting planet, but that's only once in a blue moon. In this week's episode of Who's Who, Petter and Breki take a look at a very different kind of planet. This week, they're looking at ... <imagine a drumroll here> ... The Mysterious Planet! Links and Shownotes: This serial spans The Trials of A Timelord, parts 1, 2, 3 and 4. It is well outlined at The Tardis Wiki. It also features the first appearance of The Valeyard.

  • Who's Who #105: Revelation of the Daleks

    20/10/2017 Duración: 47min

... The Doctor is in Distress. Can you help him? Can you save him? If you can, join us by sending out this S.O.S. Because, as we all know by now, we won't take less. So ... yeah. That happened. • Who's Who #104: Timelash

    05/10/2017 Duración: 41min

You know what? This serial could have been so much better had it really been called Limelash, like I first misspelled it. At least that way we would have gotten some Vitamin C into the serial and it would have had some beneficial qualities. • Who's Who #103: The Two Doctors

    21/09/2017 Duración: 01h02min

We've had One Doctor. We've had Three Doctors. We've even had Five Doctors. But up until today, we had never had ... TWO Doctors.

  • Who's Who #102: The Mark of the Rani

    13/09/2017 Duración: 49min

A serial that contains a baby tyrranosaurus rex, an explosive device that turns people into trees(!) and a female villain Time Lord - it can't be bad, can it? No, it can't! ... But it can be fairly dull. And weird. • Who's Who #101: Vengeance on Varos

    06/09/2017 Duración: 44min

Venegance on Varos - an anagram for "Cavern Gave One Son", mind you - is not a good serial of Doctor Who. Not at all. It's a shame, really. Oh well. Maybe next week! • Who's Who #100: Attack of the Cybermen

    30/08/2017 Duración: 38min

One of my recurring nightmares is to be stuck in a room with a person whom I can't understand. We try to communicate, but his voice keeps coming out as a disjointed series of shrieks that I am unable to understand... The Cybermen are a little bit like that. I just can't understand them either. And I don't mean that as in understanding their motivation or their raison d'être or anything like that - no; I mean the actual words coming out of their ... face-box-thing. Still, though. The Doctor is mellowing out, Peri is less annoying and we get to see some amazingly brutal scenes involving the Cybermen. So it's not all bad.

  • Who's Who #99: The Twin Dilemma

    23/08/2017 Duración: 48min

In a serial called The Twin Dilemma, one would expect a dilemma surrounding a pair of twins, right? Not that the twins hardly appear in the episode at all, but the drama has to do with the new Doctor.

  • Who's Who #98: The Caves of Androzani

    16/08/2017 Duración: 44min

All good things must come to an end, they say, and when it comes to Peter Davison's run as the Doctor - that's true as well. As far as the serial goes, don't give up on it if you don't like the first episode. It gets a lot better as soon as you're getting into the second episode. • Who's Who #97: Planet of Fire

    09/08/2017 Duración: 43min

Turlough is out, Kameleon is out, Peri is in. Also, the scores are down. • Who's Who #96: Resurrection of the Daleks

    02/08/2017 Duración: 30min

After a great episode, it's rare to get another great episode. So ... this one wasn't great - but it was certainly very very good!

  • Who's Who #95: Frontios

    26/07/2017 Duración: 47min

Two terrible serials in a row did not leave us with high hopes for Frontios, but thankfully we were positively surprised. Enquire within to hear the derring-do tales of The Doctor and his two visible and one invisible companions! Show notes and links: Frontios - Wikipedia (wikipedia.org) The Whisperer in Darkness - Wikipedia (wikipedia.org)

  • Who's Who #94: The Awakening

    19/07/2017 Duración: 21min

I hate to be that guy, but I believe that the title of this story comes from the process that you will undergo a few hours after sitting down to watch it. It's just dreadfully dull. In fact, don't listen to this episode, just take my word for it. We gave it two points out of ten. It's not worth the time spent listening to the episode, even. Please, for the love of all that is holy, step back! Stay away while you still can!

  • Who's Who #93: Warriors of the Deep

    13/07/2017 Duración: 51min

Back in the days, there have been a handful of episodes that Petter and Breki just plain did not like. Some of the worst contenders on the list have been the ones involving the Silurians and the Sea Devils. So ... you can imagine our trepidation as we went in to see this set of episodes - which features both of them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUCSlb-jhsU Now; I'd like to say that we were pleasantly surprised, but ... we just weren't. Quite the contrary. Show notes and links: "Doctor Who" Warriors of the Deep: Part One (TV Episode 1984) (imdb.com)
