Cultivate Connection - Christ Centred Meditation

Join us this week as we continue to journey on our quest for wisdom found only in God. Do you trust Him completely? Can you rely on Him with your whole heart? Are awe and wonder your first responses when turning your attention to God? Can you find intimacy with Him in your everyday tasks? Proverbs tells us if we can engage with these things above, we can also have the healing and refreshment our spirit and body longs for. Let’s find Wisdoms Guidance together as we meditate on Proverbs 3:5-8 (The Passion Translation).

What does a life lived well look like? How do we even know if we're on the right path to a rich and rewarding life? Money, status, influence? Health, family, community? God has a blueprint for it. His kindness, truth, love and faithfulness bring promises of peace and prosperity. Tap into His wisdom to receive favor in His eyes and the eyes of everyone around you. This week we are taking some time to meditate on Proverbs 3:1-4 (The Passion Translation).

We all have storms that come in our lives, some of which last longer than others. Are you able to recognize Jesus in the midst of them? It is easy to get focused on the wind and waves, wondering if we'll ever make it through. This week we are taking some time to meditate on Matthew 14:22-33 (NASB). Learning how to not only find Jesus in the storm, but also take the courage needed to walk towards Him.

There once was a time God's law was given to Moses and this is what man had to live by. Time and time again it only proved how incapable they were at upholding it, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But then, God did a new thing. He sent His son to reveal Himself to man. How we see Jesus is how we see God, and how we see God is how we see Jesus; the two are interwoven. Jesus is the perfect revelation of the Fathers heart. To know Him is to know God. This week I read from John 1:17-18 (The Passion Translation)

If you're like me you live in a busy world that offers plenty of things to seek comfort in. Food, entertainment, and day-to-day activities all make good distractions to what's really going on. Are our hearts set in the right direction? Jesus wants to pour out His fullness and grace upon you no matter what's going on. Whether you're in bad times or good right now, take pause and set your heart on Him. This week I read from John 1:15-16 (The Passion Translation)

You can become a living expression of God. Do you believe that? Do you believe Jesus still lives among us today? He has taken up residence within you so that you too can become a living expression of God. By grabbing hold of who you are in Christ you begin to catch His heart for His people. Discover the things God has given you His heart for and begin to live out of the overflow of tender mercy and grace.

When we see the Father for who He really is we are forever changed. When we welcome Him into our lives and embrace His loving kindness, we begin to step into our true identity. Recognize God for who He truly is and you will recognize yourself for who you truly are! This week I read from John 1:6-12 (The Passion Translation)

Take comfort in knowing that God is the light which overcomes all darkness. In Him and through Him nothing is impossible. As you meditate on this week's scripture, I bless you to experience God as more than mere words on a page This week I read from John 1:1-5 (The Passion Translation)

You are created to thrive in life and in doing so give glory to God. Maybe you don't feel that way. Maybe you feel exactly the opposite. But there is Jesus, calling out to you "it's never too late." Roll away the stone and believe in the impossible. Jesus says "If you believe in me you will see God unveiled." It's time for you to arise and shine! This week I read from John 11:1-44 (The Passion Translation)

The moment we took our first breath is a moment none of us can remember. This is the same moment He takes great delight in. He thought of you before the creation of the world. He knew you before you were even formed in the womb. Then suddenly, you entered His creation. God is with you. The mighty warrior who saves rejoices over you with singing. Happy birthday, He has set you apart for great things! This meditation, number 87, is dedicated to my dear friend Susi; the reason this even exists. Thank you Susi, you are a treasure. He preserves you from trouble and surrounds you with songs of deliverance. Our breakthroughs are experienced within the secret hiding place He provides for us. I pray that you would come to know the divine protection He covers you with. Our comforter, our redeemer, our rescuer, our God. I hope you are enjoying the beginnings of this new year. Whether or not you've made New Years resolutions, we can all relate to the feelings of failure. Failures of all sorts can bring us down, causing us to feel unworthy, incapable, or insignificant. Thankfully there is good news. God is looking to put His splendor on display and it is through our weakness His power is perfected in us. He is the God of the great exchange; our weakness for His power. Happy New Year! I'm excited to bring you the first meditation of 2017. This is going to be a year of breakthrough. Ask Holy Spirit to show you where He has breakthrough for you.  I pray this meditation ministers deeply to you and sets the stage for a fantastic year. When we choose to live a life led of the Spirit, the fruit of such a life is as unique as a snowflake. No two look the same. Draw closer to Him today receiving all that He has for you, and in doing so be transformed into the unique version of You He crated you to be. A lot can go wrong when we're not paying attention which is why Paul said "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." Take time this week to ask God to awaken your heart so that your full attention can be given to Him. Be blessed with the fullness of life and health found in His words. Was it not enough for God to create the universe and place us in it? Was it not enough that He created us in His very image? Where those not enough that God choose to come down in flesh and humility, dwelling amongst His children? Could this be the ultimate gift from God? The birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. When we see God rightly and understand the truth of who He is, all of our preconceived notions of who we are blown away. The truth of your value can only be found in Him. Some of us have forgotten who we are. While we've run after the wrong things we've run away from the most important thing, God. Hit the reset button today. Each of us need direction in our lives. Luckily for us God is our counselor who even instructs us in our sleep. You are never out of His sight and He is never unavailable. What did David see that we don't see? To sing that God is his prize, his pleasure, and his portion. What did he believe that we don't?
