Scripture:  Luke 2:1-21 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  In this message, Scott continues this Christmas series with the story of the shepherds. The good news that the shepherds heard that quiet night is the same good news that we hear every time we read or hear the story.  It is the miracle of the incarnation.  What does that incarnation mean for us?    

Scripture:  Matthew 2:1-12 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary: You've probably seen any number of manger scenes during the Christmas Season.  Usually, you will see Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, some shepherds, perhaps some animals and three wise men.  Who are these three wise men?  Why have they come?  How did they come to the decision to travel some 800 miles to see a baby?  Scott invites you to consider these questions and what the wise men can challenge us to do.

Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary: We're all familiar with the practice of exchanging gifts during the Christmas Season.  As Scott guides us through the story of Jesus birth, he will examine what each of the players in that story exchanged for the gift of Jesus.  It may very well be not what you expect.

Scripture:  I Corinthians 6:1-11 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary: How should a Christian respond when they have been wronged by another Christian?                                                Paul offers a way that runs counter to the wisdom of our culture and is not for the faint of heart.

Scripture:  1 Corinthians 5:1-13 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  What is the church's responsibility when one of its members is involved in a very egregious violation of God's standards?  This is the challenge that Paul addressed in this section of scripture.  Scott brings insight into the church's responsibility to bring that person through redemptive discipline.

Scripture:  I Corinthians 4:6-21 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  In this message Scott explores a section of 1st Corinthians in which the apostle Paul, tells the church in Corinth that they should imitate him in the demonstration of faith because the one he imitates is Jesus.  Scott ends the message with some very penetrating questions about those who imitate and those who are imitated.

Scripture:  I Corinthians 3:1-23 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  What is the "foundation" for who we are as a church?  In 1 Corinthians 3:1-23, Scott talks about the answer that Paul, the apostle, gives to that question.  So, based on the "foundation," who are we to be as collectively and individually acting as builders on that foundation.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:1-16 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  In this message Scott examines the source of true wisdom.  It is clear from Paul's language that true wisdom does not come from anything this world can offer, but rather from God.  As you listen, consider the source of true wisdom as compared to the source of the wisdom the world has to offer.

Scripture:  1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  In this message Scott discusses Paul's statement about the contrast in attitudes about the cross of Christ.  To some the cross is foolish, but to others it is glorious.  Why do believers in Christ find that he is the ultimate gift from God that brings meaning to life?

Scripture:  1 Corinthians  1:10-17 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  In this message Scott addresses the issue of a divided church.  Paul's pleas in this passage are reiterated in Scott's message.  Just as Paul calls for unity in the church at Corinth, Scott calls us to responsible representation of the church as it was intended to be: unified.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  This is the first message in a series that explores the Apostle Paul's letter to the church in Corinth.  Paul will address the way of life of some in the Corinthian church who have indulged in pagan practices that are directly contrary to life in Christ.  Scott begins the journey through Corinthians as we continue to understand what the church is really all about.

Scripture:  Joshua 4:6-7 Speaker:  Scott Seela, Children's Minister Summary:  In this message Scott issues the challenge for this church to not only look back and be thankful for what God has done, but also to look forward to what God will do.  Scott's declaration that "God is not done" is the same one issued in the account in Joshua 3 and Joshua 4.  Joshua says "Consecrate yourselves for the Lord will do amazing things among you."  That promise has never changed as God deals with his people.

Scripture: Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  This is the final message in the Face to Face series.  Scott has explored several narratives about face to face encounters with Jesus found in the New Testament.  In this message, Thomas, one who had been chosen to follow Jesus finds himself in doubt right after Jesus' crucifixion.  Where do we find ourselves in this story?

Scripture:  John 11:1-44 Speaker:  Scott Meyer, Lead Minister Summary:  In this message Scott explores the competing powers of death and Jesus as he examines the account of the raising of Lazarus from the dead in the gospel of John.  Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead, but there is so much more to discover than perhaps we first thought.

Scripture:  John 8:1-11 Speaker:  Scott Meyer, Lead Minister Summary:  In this series each message explores a face to face encounter with Jesus.  In this message Scott presents an encounter of a woman "caught in the act of adultery."   How Jesus deals with the religious leaders who bring her and how he deals with woman demonstrate grace and truth.

Scripture:  John 4:1-42 Speaker:  Scott Meyer, Lead Minister Summary:  In this series each message explores a face to face encounter with Jesus.  In this message Scott presents an encounter of a woman of Samaria.  This woman carries a reputation of questionable character.  How Jesus deals with her gives us insight into the our tendency to label others.

Scripture:  John 3:1-21 Speaker:  Scott Meyer, Lead Minister Summary:  In this series each message explores a face to face encounter with Jesus.  In this message Scott explores the encounter of Nicodemus, a man of influence and knowledge of the scriptures who seeks the answer to the question we all ask in one form or another:  How can I go to Heaven?
