That which was destroyed by the sin of the first Adam is now being restored by the new Adam, Jesus our Savior.

Baptism begins a lifetime journey. The Eucharist is the primary way God has given us to be sustained on the journey.

We can bring the Gospel to others only when we do so for the love of Jesus our Savior and when we guided by Him and nourished by Him. Our chief nourishment is the Eucharist.

Jesus was sent to proclaim God's mercy. The church has received the mission to proclaim the mercy of God.

No one saw Jesus rise from the dead. However eleven of the twelve gave their lives as witness that He is risen.

We process today into the Church, but in our minds eye we are part of that great procession into the Heavenly Kingdom; we join the countless members of Christ who are part of that procession.

We answer the Question “Do You Believe?”, not with words, but with our lives. When Christ lives in us, the fruit of his Spirit will be manifest in our daily lives.

Like the blind man in the gospel reading, we do not earn God's gift. All God's gifts to us, especially salvation, is the fruit of God's generous, merciful love

Like the woman Jesus encountered at the well, we are invited to believe in Him and find Eternal Life.

Faith is more than intellectual assent that Jesus is our Savior. Faith is to build our lives upon the conviction that Jesus alone is our way to life.

Just as Jesus resisted temptation, lent invites us to look at our temptations and to struggle against them.

Blessed are the poor refers not just to the materially poor but also to those who know their totally dependence upon God.

God is totally other than us yet he has chosen to become one of us so that he can draw us eternally into the mystery of his life and love.

God’s plan for our lives can be known only through prayerful dialogue. Essential to this process is to be sensitive to the movements of the Spirit during our prayer and when reflecting upon the scriptures or the mysteries of the rosary.

The world tries to seduce us with the mantra. "Everyone is doing it. " Our faith calls us to resist the seduction of the world.

Jesus is the manifestation of God's great love for each of us.

By the quality of our lives-by our love, our compassion, our generosity-we are to proclaim Christ as the light and hope of all people.
