In a series leading up to Resurrection Sunday, we look at certain pillars in God's Theological infastructure for His Spiritual building - the Church. This one is focused on the Gospel itself.

The first time Jesus speaks in the Gospel of Mark as He emerges from the wilderness He proclaims, "The Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the Gospel!"

Continuing in our journey in Mark, Jesus is driven to the desert to square off with Satan and emerges victorious.

This is an introduction to a new series from the book of Mark and takes into consideration the author, background, and the challenge for our lives today as followers of Jesus.

This message is a walk through the mission direction of Meansville Baptist Church as follows, as well as a beckoning to follow Jesus. Following Jesus, obeying the Great Commission and living the Great Commandments to make His name great in Meansville, in Georgia, across North America, and to the ends of the earth, empowered by His Spirit, praying without ceasing, and being led by His Word as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Following the narrative of the beginning of the conquest of the promised land we find parallels for the Christian life.

We are left with the call as the people of God to prayer and action when our hearts are renewed by the Gospel and we realize that all of life is lived in the One Who has created us.

One of my favorite moments most weeks is our Children's Sermon. Thinking about how to apply our texts to the little ones helps me prepare the overall message, plus, they are a hoot!

From the parable of the Good Samaritan to various other Gospel texts, Ephesians, and the Book of Revelation: we find the central issue of Racial Reconciliation is the "Bloodline" of Christ.

As we move through the busyness of life, let us not "forget Jesus." The scene in Jerusalem with the earthly parents of Jesus has implications for He who was fully God and fully Man.
