Episode 66 | March 9, 2016: Real, comfortable baseball
10/03/2016 Duración: 01h04minBaseball is BACK! Kind of! Who's primed to take the shortstop position? What does this young group of pitching prospects look like? What will the Rockies' starting nine on Opening Day be? And what REALLY happened to Babushka Lady that fateful day in Dallas?Plus a look at other things throughout the baseball world which mostly involve us discussing which of the Cactus League ballparks we like the most. Episode 65 | Feb. 18, 2016: Toxic Assets
19/02/2016 Duración: 59minIt's hard to build a winner in baseball at altitude. Did you know that? Have you ever heard that truism? Have you felt beaten over the head with it for your entire life? You HAVE, have you? Well do we have a show for you.The outstanding Mike Petriello of MLB.com joins the Jason Gurka edition of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast to discuss the reality of the "Coors Field Effect" and how it's possible (really!) to play successful baseball in Denver. Listen to Mike. He's way smarter than we are.Plus Anthony and Tyler discuss MLB Advanced Media's class action lawsuit settlement regarding broadcast rights and what that means for in-market streaming and you, the still-lingering Jose Reyes situation, and much more.

Episode 64 | Jan. 29, 2016: Godspeed, #Dickmania
29/01/2016 Duración: 47minCorey Dickerson is gone, you guys. Traded Thursday for (would you believe it?) a Schlotzky's sandwich and a handful of Enron stock. SMDH. Oh wait no, left-handed reliever Jake McGee and minor league starting prospect German Marquez (who is not German, just FYI) are on the way to Colorado to complete the deal. The Rockies also sent minor leaguer Kevin Padlo, a fun and talented prsopect blocked in the system, to the Rays. What does it all mean? The initial reaction to this trade is basically that the sky has already fallen, Jeff Bridich is a knucklehead who throws darts at a spinning wheel of pizza to make his roster decisions, and life is a willful and yet empty pursuit of nothingness. We'll try to calm that down a bit with some numbers that suggest maybe the Rockies aren't quite as different a team minus C-Dick as you think. And maybe (gasp!) the Rockies have actualy improved their roster this offseason -- albeit in admittedly strange fashion.Plus...well no, that's really about it for this episode. But the PDP

Episode 62 | Dec. 10, 2015: The Hiatus Is Over
10/12/2015 Duración: 01h10minThe Purple Dinosaur Podcast returns to bring you holiday cheer! Just kidding, the D-backs are building a rotation Death Star with Tuesday's acquisition of Shelby Miller and the signing of Zack Greinke, and every other team is better than your team. We discuss that and what the Rockies can do to at least somewhat close the gap for 2016.Plus Anthony and Tyler take you through their crazy last two months, field your #AskPDP questions, discuss potential landing spots for Carlos Gonzalez, and much more.

Plus we'll dive into Nolan Arenado's prospects for a top-5/top-10 finish in NL Most Valuable Player voting. Our 61st episode also includes a discussion with Bruce "Old Hoss" Foster about Civil War-era baseball reenactments in Denver and Connor Farrell of Rox Pile on who's the Rockies' leader in handsome heading into 2016 and who would contest his World Series of Hate.

14/09/2015 Duración: 01h01minThe best part of #PDP59 is when we talk about how Tulo hasn't missed any significant time all season. Recorded on Friday, he was injured within 24 hours. With not a whole lot to talk about, we dive into CarGo and Nolan's ridiculous second halves and compare it to other great historical runs by Rockies players and others. Episode 58 | August 28, 2015: Finding Tyler Matzek
28/08/2015 Duración: 01h03minIn as rambling and incoherent of an episode of the PDP as we can recall (just kidding, that's every episode), we've got a whole lot of topics on tap. Episode 54 | July 31, 2015: Welp...that was a letdown
01/08/2015 Duración: 34minThe 54th episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast is a short one because the Rockies did nothing at MLB's non-waiver trade deadline. Carlos Gonzalez, John Axford, Wilin Rosario, Charlie Blakmon, and a whole lot of others have one thing in common: they're still Colorado Rockies. We'll attempt to explain why the club stood pat at the deadline (especially in light of the Troy Tulowitzki trade on Monday night) and give you an idea of moves that could (COULD) still be on the way.

And we'll discuss the 2015 Home Run Derby and All-Star Game which were both awesome.Plus this week we bring you a conversation with our good pal Bryan Kilpatrick of Purple Row previewing the back half of the 2015 season.
