Seldin discusses the fight, evaluates & praises Ulysse performance, and talks bouncing back stronger for a possible fight in January.  Then, Woodsy calls up fighter Mike "Yes Indeed" Reed, who suffered his first loss back in November to Jose Ramirez. Reed chats with Woodsy about his Never-Give-Up Mentality. He explains what he learned technically and mentally from the loss to Ramirez and what fans can expect next from him.

RingTV's boxing correspondent Cynthia Conte comes into the studio for episode 80 of the TalkBox Boxing Podcast! Woodsy and Cynthia chat about how she got into boxing and how her career as a reporter started. Cynthia shares some of the challenges she's faced as a woman working in a notoriously male dominated industry.  Then, Woodsy asks Cynthia about her recent interview with the now retired Miguel Cotto. They discuss his performance against Sadam Ali, his retirement & life after boxing. The two look ahead to the highly anticipated Lomachenko vs. Rigondeaux fight this coming weekend. Cynthia shares some details from her interviews with Lomachenko and gives her analysis of the fighters before fight night.

The talented actor discusses his admiration for boxing trainer Teddy Atlas and shares his experiences portraying the legendary boxing trainer in the HBO film, "Tyson." Holt shares his thoughts on some current boxers like Deontay Wilder, Vasyl Lomachenko, GGG and more! Holt also chats about his current role in the Hollywood blockbuster "Justice League" & dishes BTS of the hit Netflix series, "Mindhunter." Episode 76 features legendary boxer Evander Holyfield LIVE in the TalkBox studio at Everlast headquarters in NYC!  The famed heavyweight sits down with Woodsy & Sixto and reflects back on his first fight with Riddick Bowe just one day after the 25th anniversary of the classic bout. Woodsy asks Evander his thoughts on the recent Mayweather/McGregor fight and what he thinks about Oscar De La Hoya calling out Conor McGregor & Larry Holmes wanting to fight George Foreman. Former New York State Athletic Commissioner & longtime boxing journalist, Randy Gordon, headlines episode 75 of the TalkBox Boxing Podcast! Randy and Woodsy review Deontay Wilder's performance & form after knocking out Bermane Stiverne this past weekend. The guys look ahead to the possibility of Wilder Vs. Joshua, and they discuss upcoming heavyweight prospect, Mike Coffie and his pro fight debut later this month. Then, Randy & Woods discuss the roles of referees in boxing and how important good refs are to the sport. Randy shares some behind the scenes stories and anecdotes about some popular refs and journalists for TalkBox listeners. Al Franco, father of injured boxer Daniel "Twitch" Franco, gives an emotional update on the health of his son. Daniel continues to make a miraculous recovery after falling into a coma after his fight against Jose Haro earlier this year. 

Boxing writer, Brin Butler drops by the Everlast studio for an interesting episode of TalkBox! Woodsy and Brin sit down for a convo that examines the personal lives of professional boxers Andre Ward and Guillermo Rigondeaux. The guys discuss both fighter's boxing careers inside the ring as well as the complexities of their lives outside of it. Butler shares his thoughts on the factors behind Ward's retirement and Cuban boxer Rigondeaux's experiences with Fidel Castro. Butler also shares stories of his personal experiences with both Ward & Rigondeaux most people don't know about their lives.  Then, the guys discuss the possibility of a Floyd Mayweather comeback & who he would fight if he did...Amir Khan?!

Boxer & MMA fighter, Heather "The Heat" Hardy, calls in to chat with Woodsy in her first interview since her loss to Kristina Williams at Bellator 185. Heather gives an update on how she is feeling and how her nose is doing after that "kick heard 'round the world." She shares what she found out about Williams the morning of the fight, what she was thinking during the fight & discusses her plan to return to the cage.  Then, Eric Kelly drops by the TalkBox studio! The guys also discuss the popularity of women's boxing among the public but the lack of women's fights on television. Then, Lou fills listeners in on the November 4th card with Deontay Wilder who will fight Bermane Stiverne due to the removal of Luis Ortiz for a failed drug test. Lou gives his views on Danny Jacobs moving to HBO, Promotor Eddie Hearn, fighter Regis Prograis and tequila shots with Bob Arum!

Famed boxer & grill master, George Foreman challenges Hollywood actor Steven Seagal to a fight! Woodsy calls George to talk specifics of the 10 round fight he challenged Seagal to on twitter. TalkBox listeners get the scoop on George's fight terms and more! Afterwards, Woodsy calls up Top Rank's CEO and Las Vegas resident, Bob Arum. Woods and Arum pay their respects to the innocent victims and all those affected by the horrible Las Vegas tragedy. Woods & Arum talk about the possibility of George Foreman fighting actor Steven Seagal. The two also chat Terrence Crawford, Lomachenko, controversial judging, past objections of Adelaide Byrd, and much more!

Woodsy opens this week's episode with Paul Beston, author of the book, The Boxing Kings: When American Heavyweights Ruled the Ring. Beston discusses some of the most legendary heavyweights in boxing history including, Jack Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Joe Lewis and Rocky Marciano. Then, Woodsy calls current heavyweight, Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller. Big Baby talks about his November 11th HBO debut on the Jacobs Vs. Arias card, his friendship with boxer Adam Kownacki, and his thoughts on taking a knee with Colin Kaepernick. To round out the episode, Woods talks boxing news with journalist, Steve Kim! Woods and Kim discuss Andre Ward's retirement news...is it a hiatus or a permanent retirement?! The guys also discuss possible reasons behind Danny Jacobs' decision to leave the Wilder Vs. Ortiz undercard on Showtime for the main event on HBO Nov. 11th.  

Woodsy calls up young fighter and undefeated WBO World Featherweight Champion, Oscar Valdez! Valdez (22-0), will look to defend his title for the third time against Genesis Servania (29-0). The undefeated Mexican Champ chats with Woodsy about being a 'Dreamer' and how much this fight means to him both in and out of the ring. After his callwith Oscar, Woodsy has a quick chat with friend Antonia Bufalino about the Golovkin/Canelo drama! Be sure to check out episode 66 for a fight preview before Valdez takes on Servania on Friday night, Sept 22 at the Tucson Convention Center! The fight will be televised on ESPN at 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET.

TalkBox reviews the controversial Canelo Vs. GGG fight on episode 65 with Golovkin's Promotor, Tom Loeffler! But first, Woodsy chats with the outlandish TalkBox regular, Eric Kelly. As always, Kelly gives his fiery opinion on the Canelo Vs. GGG fight and slams the judges & scorecards.  After his convo with Kelly, Woodsy calls Loeffler to get Team GGG's post fight thoughts in the wake of controversial decision. Woods asks Loeffler to share his thoughts on the possibility of getting the decision overturned, Adaliade Byrd's temporary suspension, and the likelihood of Canelo accepting a rematch with GGG.  To close the episode, Woodsy has an interesting conversation with sports psychiatrist, Dr. Johnny Lops. Known for his work with the Brooklyn Nets, Dr. Lops shares his analysis of the Canelo/GGG fight from a psychological point of view. Plus, Lampley shares his excitement and opinion for this weekend's upcoming Canelo Vs. GGG fight, which he will be ringside for as a commentator for HBO! Woodsy chats Canelo & GGG with TalkBox Crew member Johnny Southpaw before taking a phoner from professional boxer Erickson Lubin! Erickson Lubin will fight Jermell Charlo for the WBC Super Welterweight title in October. Listeners will get to know Lubin better in this episode and hear him talk about knocking out Charlo come October!
