Jon Gosier is an African-American software developer, investor, and philanthropist. He was named as one of Ten African Tech Voices to Follow on Twitter by CNN and one of the 25 most influential African-Americans in Technology by Business Insider. He was awarded a TED Fellowship in 2009 and later named a TED Senior Fellow.  Jon is Knight News Challenge award winner forAbayima which makes crisis communications technology for disasters. In 2013 Gosier was nominated as one of three Innovators of the Year by Black Enterprise Magazine for his work with data startup MetaLayer.

Dr. Juan E. Gilbert is the Presidential Endowed Professor and Chair of the Human-Centered Computing Division in the School of Computing at Clemson University where he leads the Interaction and Information Lab. He is also a National Associate of the National Research Council of the National Academies, an ACM Distinguished Speaker and a Senior Member of the IEEE. Dr. Gilbert was recently named one of the 50 most important African-Americans in Technology.

Mr. Pace has been in the Information Technology industry since 1965. He began as a computer programmer trainee at the Pennsylvania Railroad. He left the PRR in 1967. Over the next ten years he rose through the ranks of programmer, programmer analyst, programming manager to Vice President of a financial telecommunications company in Philadelphia, PA. He became a business owner in 1976 when he incorporated Pace Data Systems for which he is still president. Pace Data Systems is a full service Information Technology firm providing services through its Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC offices primarily to Banks and Savings Banks. In 1975 he co-founded Black Data Processing Associates in Philadelphia and operated as its president for two years. In 1978 he coordinated the formation of BDPA into a national organization and functioned as its First National President until 1980. Thanks to Anita Dixon,  Kansas City-style jazz music will be broadcasting from a new radio station!  The Mutual Musicians Foundation in the 18th and Vine jazz district was granted a construction permit for a noncommercial, low-power FM radio station. The foundation is hoping the KC jazz station, at 104.7 FM, will be on the air by the time we air this interview or soon there after. The foundation expects to hire a full-time general manager but rely on volunteers for other jobs, including announcer KOJH’s programming will also be streamed online, Dixon says. The Mutual Musicians Foundation continues the jam sessions that were a mainstay of Local 627, which would be 100 years old in 2017 “I’ve never had anything more exciting happen,” Dixon says. “One minute you’re dreaming and the next minute it’s there.” Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/entertainment/music-news-reviews/article9405002.html#storylink=cpy
