Walking By Faith

In this message we are going to be looking at different ways to view the world. Jesus tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God, and, that we must not be conformed by this world. Today we are going to be taking a look at what it really means to give. Not just giving of our money but of our time and talents. In Matthew 6 Jesus tells us not to lay up treasures for ourselves on earth because people can break in and steal them or they can be destroyed, but we are to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where they will last forever. Today we will be finishing up on Government Endings with our message; The 8th Empire. In Revelation 17:9-10 the verse talks about 8 empires, 5 that were, 1 that is, 1 that has yet to come, and 1 that will come again. Today we are learning what the Abomination of Desolation in the Holy Place is. This is important because understanding this prophecy helps all the others fall in line. Today we will be talking about replacement theology and how it is common to think that Jesus is from the same culture that you are, but that is incorrect, Jesus is a Jew and the Jews are still God’s chosen people. The bible says in Luke 21:28 - Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Jesus is referring to the end of the days that we know now. When you find yourself depressed, discouraged and disheartened it is easy to get caught up in negative self talk. The Whoa is me, I can’t do anything right, I am a horrible person. When we start to feel like this the best thing we can do is put on a Garment of Praise. Begin to praise God just for being a good God. When we start to lay this foundation of praise, we start looking ahead at the things God is going to be doing for us, we start to leave that depressed life behind. In this series, Pastor is encouraging us to write down our vision, create a vision board, something that we can look at day and night and pray over and to give ourselves direction. Today Pastor is talking about the importance of having a Vision. Not only having it, but writing it down, showing visuals, keeping what you want in the forefront of your mind so that you can work daily to achieve your goals. A vision for your life gives your purpose and helps you choose the right paths to take. Without vision you don’t have a direction, you don’t have any restraint, your life can become a mess quickly. This week we are starting a new series called The Anthem. Jeremiah 29:11 says “I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.” These plans that God has for each of us can sometimes stop in their tracks because Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus tells us to go and make disciples. How do we do that? It's simple really, live like Jesus. Show his love to all people and be bold about it. There is no reason to point out sin, people know they have done wrong before, instead show them a bold love. Right now more than ever people are hungry for love and when we show them that love it opens their hearts and a door for us to Be Bold about how Jesus has changed our lives.
