Sinopsis

Monster of the Week's goal is to cover the entire Supernatural TV show before the hosts die or get bored. So far we (Chris and Jeremy, who map onto Sam and Dean in frightening ways) haven't died or gotten bored yet, so we're doing good. We take a light hearted look at the show we all so dearly love, so you'll get a mix of "did they really need to show all that nipple action?" along with our detailed discussion about Dean's emotional issues on any given episode. Shipping people, exaggerating things, the fandom business.

    20/04/2018 Duración: 01h14min

Welcome listeners! Thanks to the wonderful people over on our Patreon, we met our first goal! So this is a special episode in which we discuss the first Supernatural comic book series: Supernatural: Origins. It's BONKERS, y'all. There's no other way to describe it. You've definitely wanted to read about John Winchester needlessly killing Mary's brother right? Also: MARY'S BROTHER?! While I don't think you need to have read the comic to enjoy the episode, it is available for digital download on Comixology. I'm not going to say it's worth $12, but then I'm also the person that ended up reading this three or four times. Thanks for listening everyone, and remember to smash that like, subscribe, and become a patron button.Support Monster Of The Week: A Supernatural Podcast

    05/04/2018 Duración: 01h41min

It's another episode of Monster of the Week! This week we're covering S07E08: Season Seven, Time For a Wedding. This episode features some real gross stuff like our old friend Becky the Superfan drugging Sam to make him think he loves her. Hey folks: that's bad! But it also features a fun new character called Garth, so I guess everything works out in the end. We're on Patreon! • Episode 62: I Can't Finish

    01/03/2018 Duración: 01h50min

Hello friends and neighbors! This week we're back at it again, talking about the Supernatural content you crave. This week it's The Girl Next Door, in which we find out Sam's obsession with sexy monsters didn't start with werewolves. No, it started all the way back when he was 13 and met a friendly Kitsune, who eventually grew up to become Jewel Staite. What a coincidence! We have a Patreon, and it's the best way to support the show. Hi folks! We're back, continuing our journey into S7. This week we cover Hello, Cruel World, an episode positively bursting at the seams with plot movement, witty dialogue, hunks, and some good old fashioned trauma. Also: Castiel dies! :( If you're enjoying these episodes, consider supporting our Patreon, and get cool stuff in return. We also haven't had an iTunes review in awhile, so help us out by clicking this link and jumping through a bunch of hoops that Apple has created for listeners to leave iTunes reviews (I'm so sorry). • Episode 60: Ghost Gone

    15/02/2018 Duración: 02h04min

Hey everyone and welcome to the first episode of season 7! I'm pretty excited we're in this whole new season. First up, let's talk about the podcast, because everyone listens to podcasts so they can hear hosts talk about their own podcast right? From here on, we're going to be covering one episode of Supernatural per cast instead of two. We think that (a) the episodes can support a detailed look and (b) it'll give us the opportunity to record MORE STUFF for y'all! You like more stuff, right? Of course you do. Anyway! This week we're covering Meet the New Boss. We catch up with our hunks, our cast of characters, we introduce a new big bad, and we read some of our own fanfiction. It's a helluva episode, y'all. Hey everyone! This week we're taking a taking a break and talking about our overall feelings about the end of season six, and taking some listener questions. We're joined by the great Jake Lionheart, a rapper, beatmaker, hiphop_gamer, and all around great dude. You've probably heard some of Jake's music in the podcast before, and he has a whole SPN mixtape for you to listen to. Be sure to check out the links below for all of Jake's cool stuff. • Episode 58: Hammering and Tightning

    01/02/2018 Duración: 02h38min

It's here! We have reached the finale of season 6 are...underwhelmed, but positive. It's hard to talk about this season without talking about what could have been, so on top of our usual in-depth analysis of the show, we spend a little bit of time talking about what we wish it could have been as well. With all of that said, there is some great stuff in these two episodes. For instance, in Let It Bleed, Dean kills what looks like dozens of innocent people that are possessed by demons! Cool! Then, in The Man Who Knew Too Much, Cas and Dean breakup with each other. We cry a little about that. Next week is our feedback episode! If you want to write in with your opinions on S6, the show so far, the podcast, or just your random Supernatural thoughts, head over to our contact page. It's what the cool kids do. 25/01/2018 Duración: 01h36min

First up is Mommy Dearest, where the brothers find weird monsters, a dead mom, and develop suspicious of one another. Also: babies in trenchcoats! Second is The Man Who Would Be King, a heart-breaking episode that tells the tale of season 6 from Castiel's point of view. Guess who the plot revolves around folks! • Wayward Sisters Presents: Same and Dane Winchester

    23/01/2018 Duración: 40min

Hello listeners! This is a bonus episode, on top of our usual weekly episode. Since Supernatural aired the backdoor pilot for Wayward Sisters last week, Chris and I thought it would be a good idea to jump on the bandwagon and see what it's all about. Skipping ahead 7 seasons was pretty surreal, but we stuck through it because DANG YALL this was really good. Talk about a fun episode! If you're new around these parts, be sure to check out the rest of our episodes. We started from the very beginning, and have come a long way since. If you want to chat with us, hit us up on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or even Tumblr. We have the whole set! We even have some merch if you want to some of that sweet podcast art as a shirt, coffee mug, or...baby onesie? Hey, we don't judge. Thanks for listening, everyone. • Episode 56: Upper Deck Jorts

    18/01/2018 Duración: 02h09min

Howdy y'all! This here is Old Man Jeremy, and I'm here to invite you to a knee-slappin' boot-kickin' hunk-talkin' good ole time! That's right fellers, it's episode 56! This week we sit down in our rockin chairs and chaw about My Heart Will Go On, which is ok but not great, just like my Uncle Marvin's cows! Then we get into my favorite episode, Frontierland, where we discover Dean has quite the thing for playing cowboy! Yeeeee-haw! Because a bunch of y'all donated to the Patreon, we reached a goal! That's right, we're gonna talk about some comic books. If you want to read along, you can find them on Comixology or Amazon, but unfortunately we're having a hard time finding a physical version that's not super expensive at the moment. Stay tuned for more info on when these episodes will be coming out! Support Monster Of The Week: A Supernatural Podcast

  • Episode 55: Magic, Muscles, and Malcohol

    11/01/2018 Duración: 02h17min

Ola Mischamigos! This week we tackle one of our favorite episodes, The French Mistake, in which Sam and Dean are transported to a world where they are rich hunks that don't speak to one another very much. It's much better than it sounds, we promise. Then it's on to And Then There Were None, an episode that cribs from John Carpenter's The Thing but misses the point really. Oh well! We've got a Patreon! Help support the show and get us cool rewards. Talk to us on Twitter, we're super cool and respond to almost everything. No nudes.
