Sinopsis

Monster of the Week's goal is to cover the entire Supernatural TV show before the hosts die or get bored. So far we (Chris and Jeremy, who map onto Sam and Dean in frightening ways) haven't died or gotten bored yet, so we're doing good. We take a light hearted look at the show we all so dearly love, so you'll get a mix of "did they really need to show all that nipple action?" along with our detailed discussion about Dean's emotional issues on any given episode. Shipping people, exaggerating things, the fandom business.

Episodios

  • Episode 54: Spiderman Texted Sam Winchester

    04/01/2018 Duración: 02h03min

Hello and welcome to 2018 my friends! Chris and I are back with two more great episodes of Supernatural to talk about. The first is Unforgiven, in which Jeremy's dream of him and Soulless Sam being BFFs are dashed on the rocks of truth. Then it's on to Mannequin 3: The Reckoning, a ridiculous episode in a variety of ways, but nevertheless it inspired a deep dive into the psyche of Sam and Dean. I know, I can't believe it either. • Episode 53: Soul Cavity

    28/12/2017 Duración: 01h41min

Hello everyone! Welcome to this week's ep. We're at the halfway point for S6, and are still having a lot of fun. We start with Appointment In Samarra, a fun episode in which Dean becomes Death and Soulless Sam becomes Jeremy's every more problematic fave. Then it's on to Like a Virgin, where the series spends an astronomical amount of money for CGI dragons, but they all end up looking like normal dudes. Weird! • Episode 52: The Angel Blade in His Pants

    21/12/2017 Duración: 02h13min

Hello friends! We're back! This week we're covering Clap Your Hands if You Believe, in which Soulless Sam wins hearts and minds and Dean gets punched by a naked fairy lady. Then we take on Caged Heat, which has a desperate act, an unusual liaison, a betrayal, and one angel watching pornography. I wish I was kidding. Special thanks to friend of the show Audrey for her vocals in the intro. Want to support the show directly? Patreon is your friend! Want to chat with us about hunks? Twitter is your friend. • Episode 51: Cursed Episode

    14/12/2017 Duración: 02h18min

Hello listeners. It's me, your friend and Supernatural buddy, Jeremy. I'm here to write the shownotes to this episode. People on our Patreon may have noticed there wasn't an early release this week, and that's because this episode was cursed. Haunted, even. BY GHOSTS. Anyway, this week we're talking about S06E07, Family Matters, in which we finally learn What's the Deal With Sam. WOOOO. Then we take on S06E08, All Dogs Go to Heaven, where we meet a super creepy dog and Sam tries to deal with his...handicap. WE LOVE THIS SHOW AND YOU SHOULD TOO! It's 10pm and I'm gonna go to bed! UPDATE: that Patreon thing I mention at the end of this episode? They reversed their decision the day after we recorded, which was the day before this was released. So not enough time to change the actual episode. But: yay! • Episode 50: Kanye is OTG

    07/12/2017 Duración: 02h23min

Hello listeners! We're back again this week with more of that Supernatural coverage you've been waiting for. This week we discuss Live Free or Twi-Hard, an episode that could have been so much worse than it ended up. Then it's on to You Can't Handle the Truth, in which everyone tells the truth for a little bit but only some people kill themselves. It's very weird. We hope you enjoy this podcast! • Episode 49: Crobby Sounds Good

    30/11/2017 Duración: 02h08min

Hello listeners, friends, and hunks! We're back with more coverage of season 6, which has been super great so far. This week we start off with The Third Man, an episode that sees the return of one beloved character, and the introduction of another beloved character, PLUS an insight into Sam's post season 5 exercise habits. Spoiler alert: they're kinda gross! Then it's on to the delightful Weekend at Bobby's, directed by Jensen Ackles! This episode is great for a variety of reasons: lots of Bobby, lots of Rufus, lots of Jody Mills, and lots of Crowley. We hope you enjoy this podcast! Hello and welcome to another episode of Monster of the Week. Thank you for listening! We've made it all the way to Season 06 and we're both extremely excited to be here. We're going to start with a feeling of dread and weirdness in Exile on Main Street, then get gross with a shifter baby in Two and a Half Men. Things don't feel quite right, and there's a mystery afoot, so listen along with us as we try to figure everything out. That lovely singing you here at the beginning is our friend Audrey! She was on one of our feedback episodes, and has been a listener since the very start. Thanks for the song Audrey! Support the show by checking out our Patreon. It's a good place for good people. This is a special bonus episode for our Patreon people. Y'all are the gosh darned best, and we can't thank you enough. 09/11/2017 Duración: 02h24min

The last two episodes of Supernatural are here and we're torn. We start with Two Minutes to Midnight, where me meet Death (!), Crowley makes out with Bobby, and Sam makes a difficult decision. Then it's on to Swan Song, in which, well, let's just say there are lots of emotions in this one and leave it at that, ok? Support the show by going to our Patreon. Exclusive episodes, early access, cool art, and tons more await you. Like that remix of Carry on My Wayward Son at the beginning, or the remix of The End at the end of the cast? 02/11/2017 Duración: 02h03min

Welcome back, listeners. We're hear to explain the events and feelings of two episodes of Supernatural. First we tackle Hammer of the Gods, where we meet a bunch of cool gods only to see them totally destroyed in the same episode. Oops! Then we move on to The Devil You Know, an episode that focuses on the one thing this show does supernaturally well: torturing Sam Winchester. Support the show! • Episode 42: Mean Baby Dean

    12/10/2017 Duración: 02h20min

The boys are back, and they've got sponsors! That's right, the nice folks over at USAopoly sent us some Supernatural themed merch, and asked us to talk about it on the show. So Chris and I gave each other a little Supernatural quiz using the cards from their version of Trivial Pursuit. They also have Supernatural themed Clue, Monolpoly, puzzles, and all kinds of other stuff. See the links to check all that out. After the quiz, we turn our attention to episode 13, The Song Remains The Same, in which Sam finally gets to go back and time and exchange some extremely awkward glances with his parents. Then it's on to My Bloody Valentine, episode 14 of season 5, which should have just been called VORE GORE because there's a lot of both. As always, we finish out with a bunch of outtakes. 05/10/2017 Duración: 01h43min

Hi! Hey! Hello! Monster of the Week here, and we are ready to SMASH that like button on these two episodes. Actually that's a lie because Jeremy doesn't really like Swap Meat that much. Before that, though, we SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON on Sam, Interrupted, mainly because both boys get a through examination, if yaknowwhatimean. THEN it's on to Swap Meat, where I 13 year old boy steals Sam's body and uses it to bore Jeremy for 45 minutes. Impressive, that. Thanks for listening, everyone! • Episode 40: LOTR Moms

    28/09/2017 Duración: 02h17min

This week your hunks are gonna have a few chuckles, which is what they'll need to counteract all those hunk tears from the second episode. First up: The Real Ghostbusters, in which Sam and Dean meet a bunch of fake Sam and Deans and get uncomfortably close to their own fandom. Second: Abandon All Hope, in which everyone dies. That's it, Lucifer wins and the show's over. It's been a good run, folks. Shouts to Revatar from www.wearedefinitelywizards.com for the intro vocals. • Episode 39: Terrence Timberlake

    21/09/2017 Duración: 02h01min

We're here! We made it to the best episode of Supernatural ever! Well, so far. This week we continue covering season 5, starting with The Curious Case of Dean Winchester, in which Bobby makes a terrible decision and Sam disappears for another emotional conversation. Then, our favorite thing, Changing Channels, in which Sam advertises for medicine to treat genital herpes and Dean stresses over where Cas is at all times. 14/09/2017 Duración: 01h49min

LETS. KEEP. GOING. When we started the show, Chris and I both said that S5 were our favorite and there's a reason why: even when the episodes aren't related to the main plot, and even when they introduce a huge lore thing and then proceed to ignore it completely, these episodes are GOOD. This week we cover Fallen Idols, the episode that guest stars Paris Hilton and is still somehow really good. Then we move onto I Believe the Children are Our Future, in which the anti-christ is revealed and then jets. I wish I was kidding. Thanks for listening everyone! • Episode 37: The Break Up Part 1

    07/09/2017 Duración: 02h19min

Hello listeners! This week we are continuing our Season 05 coverage of Supernatural! Our first episode is Free To Be You and Me, an episode that explores what the brothers' lives are like after they broke up in S05E02, and also explores what Castiel would be like at a strip club. Spoilers: not very smooth. Then it's on to The End, where Dean travels five years into the future to find that everything sucks, including the future version of himself. Future Dean is a PRICK, y'all. We have a Patreon now! Go check it out to get cool stuff and help us make cool podcasts. http://patreon.com/monsteroftheweek Curious about that intro? 31/08/2017 Duración: 02h09min

In this week's episode, we start covering our favorite season: FIVE. This week we look at two episodes, the season premier, Sympathy for the Devil, in which we learn what our heroes are transported back in time, onto a plane, and possibly into a whole new metaverse. Our second episode, Good God Y'all, introduces a new villain and confirms that classic Mustangs are the best car to own ever. Of course, after the credits there are plenty of outtakes. Enjoy!
