Text: Matthew 5:27-28; 1 Peter 2:1-3 What if adultery is not merely infidelity in marriage but a worldview that decimates the human condition? If so, it would be wise and warranted to consider where such a worldview comes from and how the Gospel gives us radical hope and true freedom.

The fourth commandment is not just about observing the Sabbath on that day; it’s about anticipating it. Sabbath is coming, whether we like it or not! How we anticipate the Sabbath day determines how we will observe this holy day. When we rest in the goodness of God, we will experience rest on the day of Sabbath. Rest-to-rest becomes a cycle, a rhythm. Join us as we discover how God’s command to remember the Sabbath can be a liberating and restful experience.

The third commandment commands us to not take the name of the LORD in vain, but is it really just about a name? The name of God and His nature are the same so if you profane the name you profane God himself. The third commandment not only gives a (1) warning but also highlights the (2) wonder of God and since we live in a fallen world we need an outside (3) way to experience the freedom of God through joyful obedience.

The first commandment is the greatest commandment of them all. In breaking this commandment, we will inevitably break them all. All evil and injustice come as the result of humanity turning from the one true God and trusting in lesser deities.

Modern culture defines freedom as living without restrictions, but the bible teaches us that freedom is enjoyed most in the presence of restrictions. Join us as we discuss how God’s law can free us to flourish.

One of the most famous parables of Jesus is also one that is often least understood. In the parable of the Lost Son, Jesus challenges everything we think we know about God and ourselves causing us to redefine what it means to be lost and what it takes to be found.

Jesus often graciously confronted sin while radically disrupting the religious status quo. While the religious elite loathed him for associating with sinners, Jesus loved to spend time with those who were far from God. Join us as we define the mission of Christ and reveal the heart of God.

For many their job is just a way to pay the bills, while for others it is a way to find identity and purpose. Due to this we have created a sacred/secular divide to categorize work as something separate from spiritual formation. But the Bible shows us how that is a false dichotomy and how your work is your worship.

Since death is a universal human experience, everyone in the world will at some point in their life have to cope with grief. The question is not if you grieve, but when you grieve, will you grieve in hope? Join us as we discuss death, grief, and the afterlife.
