The pagan sailors, Jonah, and the Ninevites all follow a God ordained path laid throughout the scriptures for discovering the breadth of God's grace. Jonah 1:11–16, 2:7-9, 3:6–10

The book of Jonah helps us come to grips with both the ways that we run from God and our difficulty in accepting the grace that God has for those who turn to him. Jonah 1:17 - 2:10

The word of the Lord through Jonah breaks into a weary world full of anger, hatred, and violence. The Word made flesh continues this mission.  Jonah 3:1 - 4:4

Advent is an old story of a Prophet who pursues a people to bring the presence of God to bear in utterly surprising ways. Jonah 1-4

Paul ends the opening section of Ephesians by breaking into a hymn of praise that invites us into its rapture. Ephesians 3:14-21

As the doctrinal delicacies culminate, Paul prays that believers would open wide to receive the work of the Spirit and know the incomprehensible love of the Savior. Ephesians 3:14-21
