Horse Nation Indian Relay Council “Championship of Champions” Day 4
23/09/2019The Colville Tribe of Washington was in the winner circle at the Championship of Champions Indian relay horse races in Walla Walla, Washington. We appreciate our friends at Wrangler Jeans and Shirts for supporting the Horse Nations Indian Relay Council season finale. It is our privilege to provide the results from a championship Sunday afternoon and interview with a talented winning jockey Scotty Abrahamsson of Abrahamsson Relay.

As America’s oldest known competition, Indian Relay is exploding onto the scene as the world’s newest and most exciting extreme sport! The Championships are the culmination of over 18 grueling competitions sanctioned by the Horse Nation Indian Relay Council, held this season between Native Americans and First Nations of Canada athletes.

20/09/2019The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council, Championship of Champions, is hosted this week in Walla Walla, Washington, for the second year in a row. President of the HNIRC, Oglala Lakota Calvin Ghostbear, is our guest this 1st of four, Wrangler Fall Sport Specials September 20-23, 2019. The excitement is building towards championship Sunday afternoon already. After a season of competition, vying for spots for preliminary heat races the first two days of qualifying races, it all comes down to three laps with dozens of horses and riders on the front straightaway, for the season and title of the sport. This is shaping up to be the largest gathering in the history of America’s first extreme sport. One that is well over two centuries old and part of the traditional American Indian and First Nations way of life, when the great horse nations, once again, come together, a very exciting event.

Wrangler National Finals Rodeo DAY 10
17/12/2018Navajo Aaron Tsinigini and Colorado cowboy Trey Yates win the team roping aggregate for the 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Trevor Brazil wins his 24th gold buckle as all-around champion of the world on his retirement year. We have the results from round 10, the average winners and world champions with interviews from Trevor Brazil and Wade Sundell.

17/12/2018Navajo cowboy Derrick Begay won his third Time in around nine at the wrangler national finals rodeo earning over $26,000 in 3.6 seconds. Navajo Aaron Tsinigini is the fastest on nine head with his partner Trey Yates and in the lead for the aggregate that is worth near $70,000 if he is the best on 10. We have results from round number nine from Friday, December 14, 2018 at the 60th annual wrangler NFR in Las Vegas. Also included are interviews with Derrick Begay, Zeke Thurston and Carmen Pozzobon.

Wrangler National Finals Rodeo DAY 8
14/12/2018Ogallala Lakota bareback bronc rider Shane O’Connell of South Dakota wins round eight with an 89 point ride aboard Powder River Rodeo Companies bucking horse named Blackleg for $26,230.77. O’Connell moves prestigiously from 14 to 11 place in the world standings for the 2018 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Defending team roping champion, Navajo Erich Rogers placed fifth in the round. We have the winners around eight and leaders in the world standings along with words from the champions Tyler Waguespack and Chase Brooks.

14/12/2018Navajo Derrick Begay wins Round 7 with Corey Petska team roping moving him up to fifth in the world standings. Former champion of the world, Aaron Tsinigini is fastest on 6 team roping. The Thomas and Mack has sold out 347 performances for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo since 1985. We have winners for round seven, PRCA World Standings and interviews with our champs for. 12/12/2018Navajo and former world champion Aaron Tsinigini lead the American Indian contingency at the 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals rodeo in Las Vegas round six December 11, 2018. Each of the 10 rounds in each event page over $26,000 with the best on 10 at the end of the week receiving near $70,000. World championships are on the line in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. We have results from round 6 and interviews with winners: Canadian steer wrestler Curtis Cassidy, Saddlebronc riders Zeke Thurston and Cort Scheer.

12/12/2018Former World Champion, Navajo Aaron Tsinigini won money team roping in round five of the 60th Annual Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Over 10 million dollars will be awarded in 10 go Rounds this week in Las Vegas, Nevada. We have a report of our Indian contingency along with the winners of round number five in each event, the world leaders and interviews with record-setting Clayton Bigelow in the Bareback Bronc riding and Canadian Zeke Thurston in Saddle Bronc Riding .

Navajo Aaron Tsinigini picks up another check as our Indian contingency is going for the cash in the city of lights, Las Vegas.
