Not For Nothin'

In this very special episode, the boys come after everyone. They don't care if you're alive or dead. No one is safe. Not even Bill Simmons, Don Shula (is steaks are off limits though), The NFL schedule release event, the Tiger King Joe Exotic, Nic Cage, Isiah Thomas, or Korean baseball. Wait, they may have come around on that. Oh and Chris's Canadian cousin, Rowey. They make up for making fun of him last time. And of course, they come up with one brilliant idea. Recasting all the actors from, "That '70s show" for a scripted series about The Tiger King. You can just picture it, can't you? They've never been more right about something. Stay safe and wash your god damn hands!

With all the terrible news these days. We'll try to bring a little joy to your lives, with some great stories about Jay Cutler, Dolly Parton & Jordan and even the NFL draft! We'll actually, except for those draft grading experts and Derek Jeter. There's no way to spin that. These two cover a lot of ground, but in the end they decide all men should grow mustaches and start kissing each other more on the cheek and lips. Like real old-school men used to do.

On this very special episode two incredible things happen. It only makes sense. Good friend of the show former producer, Jon joins in to recap their latest "Quarantined with Christian Slater" movie, Kuffs. Then Kris proclaims that from now on, April 23rd shall forever be known as Dame Day! In honor of Dame Lillard cold blooded destruction of Russell Westbrook and OKC in the 2019 playoffs, if you didn't know. From there, Chris asks, what athlete you hate, did something you love. Of course Kris doesn't really answer the question. Only place to go from there is NFL Draft talk and bad gambling.

This show is so huge, we even have one bad baseball story to share. They talk about their favorite albums that they never skip a song on. Then create an NBA logo for every decade. Well almost every one. Of course they also do their favorite thing talk in-depth about something they hate so much, NBA H-O-R-S-E. Chris gets advice from his Canadian cousins, before wrapping things up with Kris's bad gambling advice for the NFL Draft.

No sports, no problem. Let's just talk bloody mary mixes, Christian Slater movies, bad movie accents and Chris has a stupid "which group of people you'd want to be quarantined" list for Kris to choose. Kris nails it, of course. They don't even have time to dispense any bad gambling advice, because they have a super special guest for the second half of the episode (he's actually the only legit sports personality they know, who'll agree to come on their show), Mike Vorkunov, or The Athletic, joins them to talk Knicks and all sad stories from the NBA.

It's come to this. Sports talk is nothing but bad ideas and bad lists. So why should we be anything different. We don't, but we do make it funner. Plus we give huge praise to Stephon Marbury. How awesome is that dude! And Chris regales us with his experiences at the tracks. Virtually of course. Stay and home and wash your hands kids!

Even if this was supposed to be opening day of baseball (more like nopening day, right!?), we wouldn't be talking about it, hooray!!! We got way better things to discuss anyway. Like paying tribute to the legend, Kenny Rogers. The boys decide not to do a whole show on him and turn their attention to Tampa Tommy - and why he's always trying to steal everyones trademarks. Well, except for the Rams logo. Nobody wants that phallicy. They also end up finding time to do what they do best, bad gambling, before finishing things off with their top sports movies to watch during quarantine. Rest easy Kenny.

The boys break down all the Kobe tributes, while also doing their own version of that. They so elegantly transition from that sadness into football taking about how they don't like this new era of the "bro tight ends" in the NFL. It's all Gronks fault, by the way. They make a lot of prop bets for the Super Bowl and then somehow come to a conclusion of picking a winner for the game. Which is the least interesting thing about this game. Their big advice? Bet on the coin flip, give in to the luck factor, then just enjoy the rest of the game. That way you won't have to worry about how much money you're going to lose during the rest of the game. It's pretty smart.

It's a good thing there are only two NFL games left. For one, these two are terrible at gambling. But they also have a lot to talk about, so to be able to fit everything into an hour show, is still impossible. Apparently, Kris is still riding the LSU party train in NOLA (he might still be inebriated), cause all he wants to talk about is college football. He also has a hot take about Mike Leach. Be careful what you wish for Mississippi State. Chris is able to move the convo along to positive news for the WNBA and then the stupidity of Major League cheating scandals. Time for the picks. Keep betting the exact opposite and make that money.

After a three week hiatus, the boys are back to conquer the NFL Divisional Round. They took the time off to travel for the holidays, spend time with love ones and to really examine how to be better gamblers. Because, once again they finished the regular season within a few games of where they always do. At least they're consistent? Chris did finally take their own advice for the Wild Card round and bet against themselves, pulling off a three-game parlay winner. Maybe that is the New Years resolution they can stick too?

This episode should have been up Friday night, but due too many wings, beers & White Claws, oh and technical difficulties (that's what these guys are calling it)- wasn't able to post it till now. The audio is crap & the picks are crap, but at least one good thing came out of this episode, a new nickname for Eli Manning as he finishes his career back at .500. So, if nothing else they'll never be able to call old "Mitten" Manning a loser. You know, they may have also stumbled onto a brilliant new name for an alcoholic beverage called, 4Deep. Unfortunately, that's their best idea so far. Oh, almost forgot. Chris also needs to get his due (it's in his rider) - He picks the Falcons to win. Okay happy now guy?

Chris shares his thanksgiving story of spending time with his father. Way to rub it in Kris's face, man. speaking of great men and missing fathers, Rutgers football rehires their version of that - welcome back Greg Schiano. From there, it's a lot of hating on the Mavs, the Rockets and Melo winning some stupid award that doesn't mean anything and no one who actually knows anything about the sport cares about (salty). Finally they get to the good stuff week 14 picks and the return of everyone's favorite dad-bod QB, 3li Manning!
