In this episode, Robert and Jazmin preview all the major elections facing the Kentucky House, the Louisville Metro Council, the LFUCG Council, the State Senate, the Judiciary, the constitutional amendments, and, if you can believe it, even more.

This week Allison Wiseman joined Robert to talk to Tyler Chapman, the Democratic candidate in District 27. He spoke about running in his hometown and running while looking forward instead of backwards. Before speaking with him, Allison and Robert talked about the protective order issued against Brenda Monarrez, and the Park Ranger program in Louisville.

This week our guest was Emma Curtis, a candidate for Lexington Fayette Urban County Government in District 4. She would be the first trans person elected in Lexington, and spoke to us about her passion for government and especially local issues.   Before speaking with her, Jazmin and Robert caught up by talking about the Amendment Two campaign (which would legalize tax money for vouchers if it passed) as well as a few other items.

This week Robert spoke with Lauren Hines, a candidate for Kentucky House in Western Kentucky. She talked about what makes her district special, why she'd been a good state rep, and what it will take to win back Western Kentucky for Democrats. Before that, Robert went over a few quick hits.

This week Robert and Allison Wiseman sat down to discuss several issues throughout the state, including Marty Pollio's retirement, a US Department of Education report about JCPS's discipline of Black children, and Craig Greenberg's decision to enforce an old ordinance about face masks. In addition, Robert interviewed Zack Hall, the Democratic candidate in District 84, which includes Perry, Breathitt, and Owsley Counties. He spoke about running as a Democrat in a southeastern Kentucky district, and what issues he hopes to impact in Frankfort.

This week Robert and Jazmin discuss updates to the Daniel Grossberg situation, which saw several prominent Democrats calling for his resignation as well as a shooting at the Letcher County courthouse in which the Sheriff killed a Judge.

This week we welcomed Josie Raymond back to My Old Kentucky Podcast. She talked to us about her decision to forgo reelection to the House of Representatives in order to run for Metro Council, and what she hopes to accomplish at City Hall in her next term. Before speaking with Josie, Robert and Jazmin spoke about LMPD hiring a new chief and about the shootings that occurred along I-75 last week.

This week we featured two guests: Deb Ison Flowers who is running for Kentucky House in Distrcit 60 in Boone County, and Matt Golden, who is running for Louisville Metro Council in District 16 in Northeast Jefferson County.

This week Jennifer Sierra joined us on the show to discuss her run for State Senate in Kenton County. She spoke about how important the issue of abortion rights were to her as well as all the other issues that motivated her to run for office.   Before speaking to her, Robert and Jazmin discussed changes to DEI organizations at the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, and talked about an update to the juvenile justice stories we've been following for a few years.

What a packed episode! Erin Marshall is our guest this week. She's running for U.S. Congress in the 1st District, which stretches from Western Kentucky to (hilariously) Frankfort. She talked to us about her experience in politics so far, why she chose to run for U.S. Congress, and much more. During the first half of the show, Robert and Jazmin discussed the Daniel Grossberg scandal, the Nima Kulkarni Supreme Court ruling, a sex scandal in the LFUCG council, and some quick hits.

Robert and Allison were the hosts this week and they ran down several pieces of news about a major fundraising call in Kentucky, scandals in both Louisville and Lexington, and more. During the second part of the show, Robert interviewed Wilanne Stangel, the Democratic candidate in District 69 in Northern Kentucky.

This week we had two guests! First up was Lydia Bell of Home of the Innocents, a Louisville non-profit serving children and young adults who received a line item in the Kentucky budget. We also had Adam Moore, the candidate for House District 45 in Lexington. He talked to us about his race and how he plans to flip the district this year. Before the interviews, Robert and Jazmin addressed a few issues in a quick hits segment.

He talked to us about why he's running, what he's passionate about, and what he's hearing at the doors of voters. During the first half of the show, Jazmin and Robert talked about Andy Beshear's chances to become Kamala Harris' VP candidate and also did a roundup of quick hits.

This week we talked through more bills the executive branch cannot implement due to a lack of funding and looked at four longer form articles in different outlets which you should read.

Our guest this week was Kate Farrow, the Democratic candidate for House in District 48. She told us about her district, her campaign, and the issues she hopes to impact in Frankfort. Before speaking with her, Jazmin and Robert talked about Andy Beshear's big week, which saw him become a major player in the Presidential election this year.

This week Colleen Davis joined Robert and Jazmin to discuss her run for House District 31 in Louisville. She talked about deciding to run for office, what she hopes to accomplish, and why she thinks she was recruited for the job. Before speaking to her, Robert discussed the stalled implementation of SB 151 and the fallout from that, and Jazmin discussed two lawsuits: one about three Jewish women suing over Kentucky's abortion laws, and another involving KFTC suing about the voter rolls.
