Truth, Judgment And Eternity

This is a very comforting and encouraging sermon upon the realities of Heaven as described in the Bible. Jn. 14:1-3 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms [or mansions]; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

As creatures, who know only beginnings and ends, eternity is a concept which we can try to understand but fail to perceive. Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." We can’t fathom what God has done, we can’t fathom an eternal God who always existed and never did not exist. Much of mankind cannot fathom an infinite, eternal, always existing, everywhere present God.We should live as Leonard Ravenhill would cry, "With eternity stamped upon our eyeballs." If we did we would live as very different Christians.
