Scavenger's Hoard: A Star Wars Podcast

In this episode of Scavenger's Hoard, Rachael and Kirsty discuss the latest news, from the fresh rumours on when Episode IX will start filming to the news that Carrie Fisher will feature in Episode IX. We then cut to a spotlight segment on General Hux (for which we're joined by Melissa/Hux Fan Blog), exploring everything from his difficult childhood to how the character has been received in the wider fandom. We then answer listener questions on topics ranging from getting female directors on future Star Wars movies to our feelings on naming your kids after Star Wars characters. Rachael and Kirsty start the show by paying tribute to Carrie Fisher and discussing her book The Princess Diarist. They then go on to discuss the news before turning the spotlight onto Rogue One and its reception, closing the shows with some listener questions.

These represent our initial thoughts (we’ve both only seen it once), and we cover our feelings on everything from a certain Dark Lord of the Sith to the film’s politics and handling of its characters and plot.
