There is then a brief spoiler-free chat about the new novels 'Phasma' and 'Leia'. The show is rounded off with a discussion of some intriguing comments from Mark Hamill on The Last Jedi, Han Solo casting news and the second trailer for Rebels season 4. Right at the end of the episode, there is a quick love-in over the excellent Game of Thrones finale (beware the inevitable spoilers!).

In this episode of Scavenger's Hoard, Rachael and Kirsty have a wide-ranging discussion catching up on all the latest Star Wars news. In the first segment they discuss new officially released information, including the full list of Last Jedi tie-in books we have in store and fresh information on the porgs and Kylo's fearsome TIE Silencer. There is then a spotlight on Forces of Destiny, where each episode is discussed in turn. Favourites are discussed, as are the controversies that some elements of the episodes whipped up. In the spoiler segment, they cover all the latest leaks from The Last Jedi, including high-res images of the new Lego sets and the batch of leaked publicity photos showing characters such as Luke, Rey, Kylo and Snoke.

    In this episode, Rachael and Kirsty dedicate themselves to covering the most exciting news on The Last Jedi to come out of D23, including the photos shown at the panel and the brand-new character posters that were released. They then move on to a lengthy segment breaking down the BTS reel, discussing the majority of the shots in detail and drawing upon their spoiler-y knowledge to speculate about what we're looking at. This segment starts around the half-hour mark, and if you're spooked by spoilers please do check out when the spoiler klaxon sounds! Unfortunately time was short so we didn't have time to cover Forces of Destiny or the pinball machine images that we refer to, but we will endeavour to get to them next week!

Unfortunately this is a short show due to technical difficulties, but please rest assured that Scavenger's Hoard will return next week with new software behind the operation and a full episode ready for your listening pleasure.

Gasp at our ability to talk about the compassion exchange for 15 minutes! Marvel at Rachael's inexplicable and borderline offensive attempts at accents! Once the novelisation discussion is wrapped up, we move on to spoilers, discussing the first set pics from the Han Solo movie and the latest Making Star Wars report on Luke’s props for The Last Jedi. We also indulge in some speculation on the final act of the film based on more tenuous rumours, so pull your tinfoil hats on for some wild and probably baseless theorising! (We had technical difficulties with the recording which meant the last five minutes or so were cut off, thus the weird ending to the episode.)
