  • Week 12 Seahawks quick reaction: Say hello to the sexy deep ball!

    26/11/2018 Duración: 31min

Four weeks ago, we said the Seahawks needed to go 2-2 over at tough four-game stretch where they faced the Chargers, Rams, Packers and Panthers. Seattle got the job done, despite falling in a 0-2 hole, but now they are back on track after handing Cam Newton his first home loss in Carolina this season. A missed field goal late in the fourth quarter gave the ball back to Seattle and a huge pass to Tyler Lockett set up the game winning field goal and the 30-27 victory. Lockett was outstanding in this game and David Moore caught a ball on a rope from Russell Wilson on fourth down to tie the game up in the fourth quarter. Adam says he wants all the Seahawks receivers to watch what Lockett does after he catches the football. Chris Carson didn't have a lot of yardage in this game, but he certainly made the highlight reel with a full flip where he landed on his feet. Wilson gets another stat on the road and is now has more regular season wins than any Seahawks quarterback in franchise history. We'll be talking about

  • 228: Seahawks overcome WTF moments vs Packers, look forward to another nail biter in Carolina

    22/11/2018 Duración: 01h21min

The Seahawks overcame a lot in last week's 27-24 win over the Packers. They won despite a fumble on the opening play that was quickly turned into a score, they won despite a huge touchdown throw from Aaron Rodgers to put the Packers up by double digits early on in the game, and they overcame a rough first half by Russell Wilson. Not only that, they racked up a few pre-snap penalties, Kyler Fackrell had a huge day, and they even got some help in a few key areas late in the game. The running game continues to have a positive impact for the Seahawks. With Carson, Penny and Davis all proving to be solid options, they continue to impose their will on teams. It showed up in the final four minutes of the game when they showed the Packers that they would not get the ball back and have a chance at some late-game magic. It was a stark contrast to a team that led at the half, yet fed their lead back only four times in the final 30 minutes of the game. Now at 5-5, Seattle will travel across the country and face their sec

  • 227: Seahawks fans left wondering where is the clutch?

    15/11/2018 Duración: 01h02min

The Seahawks fell back below .500 this week after another close game. Just like in the first loss, the Seahawks had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to score and came up short. Where is the clutch Russell Wilson that we've come to expect in these finals moments? The guys aren't buying the notion that an improved running game has any sort of negative impact on the passing offense late in the game. Wilson got it done on the ground, but when it comes to the passing game, one particular stat surprised Adam. So are the Seahawks the best of the bad teams or a bad, good team? Whichever one it is, they're about to face a team that has similar questions. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are facing Seattle on Thursday night and they seem to have a back who can make things happen on the ground. The other side of the ball is an issue for them. Green Bay has a defense that is structured similar to the Rams and Seahawks have put up at least 30 points in those matchups. The guys explain why there was no quick reac

  • 226: Time for Russell Wilson to bounce back and for the Seahawks defense to hold on third and long

    09/11/2018 Duración: 01h32min

The Seahawks lose what ends up being a close game at the end to the Chargers. The defense holds the Chargers offense to zero points after having a rough first half. With the fact the defense was able to keep it close, Russell Wilson has to own a big part of the loss. Taking sacks, missing receivers and not getting rid of the ball when he has an opportunity all had an impact. The guys talk about how he's having to do some work to get back to working within the offensive system. Part of the trouble in the first half against the Chargers was with giving up explosive players to the Chargers. The guys dig into the third down stats to see that the Seahawks are among the best in the league on holding teams on third down. Why does it feel like if the opposing team is in a third and long situation that the defense is going to give up a big play? Looking ahead to the Rams game on Sunday, the Seahawks ability to attack the perimeter the way the Saints did last week and success throwing deep against Peters will help keep

  • Seahawks Week 9 quick reaction: Show me the penalties!

    05/11/2018 Duración: 35min

Penalties, whether on the Seahawks or on the Chargers, seemed to be the story of this game. Seattle, in the final minutes of the game, are able to drive down and have one more shot at a touchdown thanks to calls that went against the Chargers defense. J.R. Sweezy gets called for a false start right before the final play just for good measure. A tipped pass makes it so David Moore is unable to come down with it in the back of the end zone and Seattle loses 25-17. Philip Rivers made it pretty clear he would have liked to have seen a whole lot more penalties go his way. Even will all of the laundry on the field, the Seahawks still had moments to overcome the calls. Seabass had a chance to make a field goal and missed. Russell had opportunities where he missed guys on throws. Some calls, like the one where Mike Williams had a foot or two out of bounds, may have even allowed Seattle to score more points. What is certain is that the Seahawks did have a chance in the end and they missed an opportunity to get one gam

  • 225: Dickson earns two big honors after Detroit win, Seahawks play at home for only the third time this year

    03/11/2018 Duración: 01h25min

Following a 28-14 victory over the Lions, Seattle was quiet at the trade deadline and didn't give up or acquire any picks. But they did open up a roster spot by dropping Brandon Marshall. Marshall hadn't seen much action in recent weeks and Coach Carroll mentioned a desire to add to special teams. And speaking of special teams, Michael Dickson earn NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after earning a new nickname and making a play from his own end zone that was celebrated by his teammates, by his coach and by a former Colts punter who took to Twitter to offer an amazing call on the play. The Los Angeles Chargers are next up and Philip Rivers is having a solid season. The guys take a look at how the Chargers earned their 5-2 record and what the Seahawks need to do on defense to have success. For Seattle, their secret weapon may be their defensive coordinator who had a lot of success against Rivers in his previous position. The Chargers bring a secret weapon into this game, too, a second receiver with th

  • Week 8 quick reaction: A place where the Seahawks hyperbole flows like wine

    29/10/2018 Duración: 33min

Celebrating a victory this week as the Seahawks improve to 4-3 and earn their third straight victory on the road. After seven games this season, Seattle still has six home games left on its schedule. And with the Seahawks coming out of the bye, many of us fans were wondering if Seattle could carry the momentum over from the win overseas against the Raiders. With the 28-14 win, the defense was able to hold off some late charges by Matt Stafford and the Lions. A 21-point second quarter allowed Seattle to grind out clock throughout most of the second half and a 14-point lead in the final minutes allowed punter Michael Dickson to take a risk on a play that was intended to run out clock before taking a safety. Instead, he ran from the very back of the end zone and turned upfield to get a first down to help cement the win. Adam Nathan of the UK Sea Hawkers joins Adam and Brandan this week to talk about the emergence of David Moore, a great showing by Chris Carson, and the continued efficiency of Russell Wilson in w

  • 224: Matchup with Detroit can tune up the Seahawks for the toughest part of their schedule

    27/10/2018 Duración: 01h13min

The Seahawks are coming off of their bye week and are back on the road to a location that Russell Wilson has yet to win a game. The last time the Seahawks and the Lions played in Detroit, it was Wilson's rookie season. Fortunately, Russell is undefeated against Detroit when he's not a rookie. A lot of the talk leading up to Sunday's matchup, is how Detroit now has a running game. They now have a talented player to hand the ball off to, but it hasn't changed the way that the Lions and Matt Stafford attack opposing defenses. Even with an improved run game, it isn't as if the Lions are making it a point to shift their offensive philosophy. Adam and Brandan break down some of the statistics going into the game and where the Lions have the biggest deficiency against the Seahawks. On offense for Detroit, they have a former Seahawks receiver who Adam considers the biggest concern for the Seahawks defense. One area to watch is if the Seahawks pass rush can continue what they showed us against the Raiders, even though

  • 223: Seahawks dominate Raiders and expect to carry the momentum through the bye week

    22/10/2018 Duración: 01h18min

After a win over the Raiders in London, Pete Carroll now has more wins than any other Seahawks head coach. There wasn't much more that Seattle could have done in this game apart from a Russell Wilson interception and some penalties that pushed the offense out of field goal range early on. This was the type of football Pete Carroll loves, too. Seven straight run plays and more than seven minutes off the clock on their way to an opening touchdown - something we haven't seen as Seahawks fans since 2016. They started the game playing physical football and they finished about as well as any team can. With more than eight minutes on the clock, they got the ball from the Raiders and never gave it back. Surely Ken Norton, after being fired from the Raiders in the offseason, enjoyed the 27-3 beatdown that was awfully close to being a shutout. Adam and Brandan go through the highlights from the game and the highlights from the pregame and postgame meetup with our members of the flock. We get into the bus tour that some

  • Thanks Paul Allen, a tribute to the man who saved the Seattle Seahawks

    19/10/2018 Duración: 30min

Back in the late 90s, the Seattle Seahawks nearly moved down to Southern California. Mark Tye Turner joins the show to talk about how he remembers calling into the offices where they were already referring to them as the Anaheim Seahawks. But thanks to the work of Seahawks fans, the city of Seattle, the NFL commissioner at that time and of course to Paul Allen - the team was purchased, a referendum was passed, and Allen went on to hire two of the top coaches in the history of the franchise. Brandan and Mark talk about some of the personal marks that Paul Allen has put on the team and what some of the potential things the NFL, the city, and the team could do to memorialize and honor his legacy.

  • Week 6 quick reaction: The Seahawks home field advantage carries overseas

    15/10/2018 Duración: 35min

The Seahawks strolled into London and came away with a dominant 27-3 victory over the Oakland Raiders. It all started with the first drive that really set the tone for the team for the entire game. The physicality from the offensive line was matched by physical play on the defensive line that gave Derek Carr a lot of trouble all day long. Fans watching on television may have heard the noise generated by the crowd at Wembley Stadium, but what doesn’t come across the broadcast is how important this game was for a lot of overseas 12s. For some people it meant attending their first Seahawks game, because it was a destination in a reasonable travel distance for them. Clearly the culture Seahawks fans have created appears to translate well to many of the people representing so many countries in Europe. Russell Wilson, once again, had a very efficient day and got to play Oprah with the way he delivered touchdown passes. Doug Baldwin was back to being the leading receiver and he had a simple explanation for exactly w

  • 222: Catfish the Rams! The Seahawks miss out on a big win before heading to London

    11/10/2018 Duración: 01h30min

Winning is always better than losing, but is a loss against the Rams better than a close win over the Cardinals? That may be a difficult choice. The Seahawks carried a 31-24 lead into the fourth quarter and continued to lead after a missed extra point by the Rams. They had a couple opportunities to keep their lead late in the game, but failed to execute. Adam and Brandan talk about the key plays in the final quarter and the coaching decisions that contributed to the loss. On the positive side, the Seahawks looked like a team that has the ability to compete with any other team in the league. With Tedric Thompson now in the starting lineup, he filled in well for Earl Thomas and was the top rated defensive player according to Pro Football Focus. The guys talk about the plays he contributed to the most and the upside of the Seahawks secondary. Considering what we saw from the Seahawks and their potential to be a team on the upswing in the second half of the season, the guys talk about the other teams in the NFC t

  • Week 5 quick reaction: A game that offers mixed reactions for Seahawks fans

    08/10/2018 Duración: 30min

The Seahawks had more than their share of opportunities to come away with the victory in this game up 31 to 24 going into the fourth quarter. The Rams even blew an extra point attempt to allow Seattle to hold the lead even deeper into the fourth quarter. But the Seahawks weren't able to respond to a Los Angeles field goal that put the team ahead 33-31 in what would ultimately lead to the final score. Clinton Bonner joins the show to fill in for Adam and he and Brandan break down the turning point in the game when some untimely penalties pushed them out of field goal range. They also look at the moments leading up to the Rams going for it on fourth down at the end of the game to solidify the victory. Ultimately there's a lot to be excited about even in the loss, but it still feels as though the team let this one get away even though many expected that Seattle wouldn't be able to go toe-to-toe with the high powered Rams offense. Even in the loss the Seahawks are solidifying their identity on offense, but this w

  • 221: Even in AZ winning is better than losing, how the Seahawks take on the Rams without ET3, KJ, or Kendricks

    04/10/2018 Duración: 01h51min

Coming out of the 20-17 win against the Cardinals, an unlikely position group is getting some leaguewide recognition. The Seahawks offensive line was highlighted by NFL.com as one of the top five units in the league this last week. Adam and Brandan take a look at just how little Russell Wilson had to worry about getting hit in this game. With Pocic on his way back to being healthy, they look at how the Seahawks are approaching it considering the relative success they've had with this particular group of five players over the past two weeks. The loss of Earl Thomas will have an impact, but which player injury will have the more long-term impact for the Seahawks. Will Dissly has on the brink of having a breakout rookie season, but could the prior injury of Jimmy Graham provide some optimism for Seahawks fans that the Montana native can return to the player we saw through the first quarter of the season. Looking ahead to the matchup with the Rams, it's going to be a significant challenge against a team averaging

  • Week 4 quick reaction: Arizona is the LOB's graveyard

    01/10/2018 Duración: 20min

It was a costly victory as the Seahawks came away with a 20-17 win over the Cardinals. To divide the game into parts of frustration and excitement, the frustration wins out especially when considering a goose egg on 3rd downs, the inability to get a consistent pass rush, missing two field goals and losing Earl Thomas to what was likely his last time in a Seahawks uniform. Strangely it happens on the same field that Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman played their last games with the team. To see Russell Wilson lead the game winning drive and have Janikowski kick the last second field goal, it seemed to bring more of a feeling of relief than joy. Chris Carson sat out the game due to injury and Mike Davis gave us a 2nd straight 100-yard game. He even did it on 10 fewer carries and scored the Seahawks only two touchdowns of the game.  Seattle, on the defensive side of the ball, ultimately was able to keep David Johnson in check. Josh Rosen had little help from his receivers with multiple drops, and special teams

  • 220: Cowboys recap, Rosen to lead Cardinals, and a foolproof plan to take advantage of QB hits

    27/09/2018 Duración: 01h28min

We start the show with some frustrating news that keeps cropping up in social media with fake player news coming fast and furious this week. Adam and Brandan look back and some of the biggest highlights from the win over the Cowboys. Going through some of the stats from the game, Russell Wilson has been getting the ball out faster from a statistical perspective, but Adam isn't buying that anything has changed apart from him having more protection and plays that don't require as much time to develop. Part of the protection includes the return of D.J. Fluker and he showed an impact in the game this week and Ifedi was able to have a solid game as well only giving up three pressures on the day. Russell Wilson is getting more freedom to control the tempo of the game and one example was the Seahawks first touchdown to Jaron Brown to put the Seahawks on the board in the first half. The Seahawks go back on the road this week for the third time in four games, but to a road location that has been historically favorable

  • Week 3 quick reaction: The Seahawks should consider paying Earl Thomas

    24/09/2018 Duración: 17min

The Seahawks get the 24-13 win over the Cowboys in their Week 3 home opener. With so much talk of Earl Thomas continuing as he sat out a couple days of practice this past week, he showed up big in a game against a team that was the talk of the offseason as a potential destination for him. Thomas picked off Dak Prescott early on in the game and then again in the fourth quarter to essentially seal the victory for Seattle. After all of the offseason talk about running the ball and how Chris Carson would be the lead back, the Seahawks certainly made good on that promise with 32 attempts going to Chris Carson alone as he eclipsed 100 yards. 39 carries in total on the ground as Russell Wilson was 16 of 26 with two touchdown passes and 192 yards through the air. Even with some pieces missing from their offensive line, the Cowboys still have a solid unit and the Seattle defensive line was able to sack Prescott five times, with Jarran Reed getting two and Frank Clark getting his third sack in three games. Next up, the

  • 219: Russell Wilson is not regressing, and can one timeout suggest a power struggle within the team

    21/09/2018 Duración: 01h47min

With questions about whether or not Russell Wilson is holding onto the ball too long, if the offensive line is struggling to hold off the pass rush or receivers are getting open, Adam is digging into this week's tape to see what the biggest problem was in Week 2. Pete Carroll was called out on his post game comments about Chris Carson and now says he was wrong and that the plan was to give Penny carries in the fourth quarter. The guys talk about some moves from this past week that caused a stir. With problems of depth at linebacker, Seattle signed Mychal Kendricks after he was released from the Browns following his guilty plea for insider trading. Defensive tackle Tom Johnson was waived from the team to make room for a safety who didn't even play, which was curious considering the team's struggles to rush the passer early this season. Pete Carroll explains part of the thinking behind the move. Andrew Guzman, Cowboys fan from the Common Ground Football Podcast, joins the show this week to talk about how Dallas

  • Week 2 quick reaction: The Seahawks commitment to the run game vs the Bears

    18/09/2018 Duración: 33min

Maybe the show title is missing a question mark. When it comes to a commitment to the run game, it seems like three straight runs to start the game was enough, because Seattle completely moved away with it and had no success through the second and third quarters. The clear lack of a run game was the story of the game as the Seahawks fall to the Bears 24-17. The score didn't dictate any reason to keep the ball off the ground as Seattle was down only 10-3 at halftime thanks to a long field goal by Janikowski. It wasn't until Seattle started moving the ball on the ground in the fourth quarter that the Seahawks started to see some success against the Bears defensive line. Before the start of the fourth quarter, Wilson had dropped back 14 straight times and was sacked a total of six times throughout the game.  After a Tyler Lockett touchdown got them within a score, the defense got a stop and Seattle had the momentum. As the announcers were cheering the commitment to the run, the Seahawks go to an empty backfield

  • 218: Denver's end zone paint feathering and a Monday Night Football preview with Da Bears Brothers

    14/09/2018 Duración: 01h40min

What were the biggest issues coming out of the game against the Broncos? Was it the 21 pressures allowed by the offensive line or the defensive line's inability to get pressure on Case Keenum? Was it the inexperience of Tre Flowers at corner or the dominant performance by Emmanuel Sanders? Why does the Denver Broncos field crew seem to have problems painting a solid white line in the end zone? We hit all of the big questions this week while also looking at some of the positive aspects of the game. Will Dissly did something no other Seahawks rookie has done in the history of the franchise. Chris Carson came out of the game looking like the clear favorite to carry the football moving ahead. Michael Dickson was dropping mortar shells onto the field, or maybe it was some other kind of explosive. Will and Nicholas from Da Bears Brothers join the show this week to break down what we can expect with the matchup against Chicago this week. Have Bears fans had their moment yet that signals Trubisky as a clear franchise
