As part of the Walt Disney World 50th, Anniversary Celebration Walt Disney World theme park icons are transformed into magnificent Beacons of Magic, coming to Life with their own EARidescent glow. More entertainment has returned to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, and we were there for the first return performance of Mickey’s Magical Friendship Fair, an updated version of Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire including a new opening number for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. The show takes place multiple times a day on the Cinderella Castle Stage. Staring the Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy the show celebrates classic and contemporary Disney Characters in a magical, musical extravaganza featuring lively dancing, dazzling effects, and music from Tiana and friends from Princess and the Frog, Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled along with Anna, Elsa, and Olaf from Frozen. Everything on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser is connected. Every detail has a back story, and every experience is more than what it appears on the surface. To me, that is the beauty of the experience. The beauty of a two-day adventure on the Halcyon is experiencing the unexpected. It is your You’re Story. During your two-day adventure, you choose how deep you want to get into the storyline, into the back story, or not. Lightsaber Training, for example, looks pretty cool on the surface, and it is. But take a closer look. Look at how all of this fits into the Star Wars timeline. When you first board the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, you have the opportunity to meet the crew. D3-O9 is your personal in-cabin assistance droid, always at the ready to help you with any question. D3-O9 is a talkative droid guest may see on vidscreens. Her primary responsibility is running ship logistics, so she knows everyone and everything happening on board during a voyage. But her favorite part of the job is talking with passengers. Commissioned centuries ago, by Chandrila Star Line's founder, D3 has seen the ship's history – and the entire galaxy – evolve, and she's not shy about sharing her knowledge and opinions with passengers. During the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Media event, members of various News and Blog outlets were invited to a reception and media panel for the launch of the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. The panel took place the day before the 4-hour media preview, and two days before youtube was full of bloggers with opinions of the experience.
