    07/08/2009 Duración: 41min

It's the big call-in show! Alex discusses a variety of topics with 6 callers, including ROH's move to Monday nights, the WWE's failure to push midcard talent, praise for CM Punk's push, the overuse of gimmick matches, and an interesting strategy on how to put TNA back on the map. Alex also briefly gives his own take on RAW this week, and lets everybody in on a little secret (It has to do with how bad RAW was this week). Thank you for all of the listener participation! Without the listeners, the call-in show would not have been possible.

  • Shaquille O'Neal Is A Natural, But The WWE's Hypocrisy Conti

    31/07/2009 Duración: 28min

lex gives his thoughts on the developments coming out of Night of Champions, including Jeff Hardy defeating CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. I guess this means Jeff Hardy is now staying in the company through Summerslam. Alex talks what the Summerslam card may look like, and tells you why he doesn't feel the Randy Orton and John Cena title program will reach its true potential. Alex says that Shaquille O'Neal was fabulous on RAW this week, but outside of Shaq, RAW was stale and dumbfounding. How can a company that says they want to develop new stars, not put any new wrestlers over? It doesn't make any sense. Thank you for all of your great participation. Remember, tune-in next week for the big listener call-in show!

  • John Cena's Character Needs To Change

    24/07/2009 Duración: 33min

Alex feels that the WWE is stale...very stale. Especially the "Night of Champions" card. Alex reads an email from a listener that severely criticizes this week's edition of RAW, and Alex could not agree with the email more. Alex thought that ZZ Top were useless this week and did nothing but take away from the in-ring product. But, next week Shaq is hosting and in two weeks Jeremy Piven from Entourage is hosting! Alex also hands out the "piledrivin' host of the week," and states that John Cena needs to change his character, and yes, it is now his responsibility. Thanks for all of the participation in the show. Keep it up!

  • UFC: Is It Mainstream Or Not?

    17/07/2009

Alex returns with "No Holds Barred" episode 187, and enjoyed his time in South Carolina. So much so, that he may have even picked up the accent... Alex discusses several of the hottest WWE stories, and recaps the past few weeks in WWE television. Alex questions as to why Jeff Hardy could leave the WWE in 3 weeks, but yet is still part of a championship storyline, questions the purpose of ECW, and also states that the RAW main event scene continues to seem rather stale. However, Alex also compliments the WWE on their handling of Edge's injury and CM Punk's heel turn. In the "finisher," Alex talks about UFC, and whether going "mainstream" would help the brand or not. Alex spouts some interesting theories as to why UFC may not need to grow anymore than they already have. Thanks for all of your participation, and the "piledrivin' post of the week" will return next week, possibly along with a TSS phone-line to call!

  • Mark Henry Is Pushed, And Promising Young Talent Is Not

    03/07/2009

Alex recaps "The Bash," and the week in WWE TV. Alex states that though this week of RAW was entertaining in isolation, it is quintessential example as to why the WWE has only developed a handful of new superstars in the span of many years. Alex also has a very interesting "Finisher" segment, where we discusses the parallels between Chris Benoit and Michael Jackson, and how the performer should be separated from the person. The "piledrivin' post of the week" is handed out as well. Thanks for all of your participation in the show! The next edition of "No Holds Barred" will be on Friday, July 17th.

  • RAW Receives A One-Week Ratings Boost, But Things Still Look

    26/06/2009 Duración: 29min

Alex also recaps the week in WWE TV, by wondering why Randy Orton and Triple H wrestled on free television this week, and by complimenting the WWE for continuing to have CM Punk play this fascinating "tweener" character in his feud with Jeff Hardy. Alex also touches on Donald Trump, and states that the angle was a success, because RAW received a 4.5 cable rating this week. However, it was only a one week ratings boost, and doesn't solve the larger problem with RAW... "The pildrivin' post of the week" is handed out as well!
