Almost Famous

Alex and Caitlin have both had a crazy week, so get deep into the holiday season with a little history of Santa Claus, prompted by a letter written to Father Christmas from Benedict Cumberbatch. Other topics include a new product aimed towards people who suffer from Shy Bladder Syndrome and some Barbie and Ken Doll mythos. Big ups to now friend of the show Patrick Doyle, an important figure in Almost Famous history. 

Caitlin plays Neko Atsume while Alex recounts his harrowing experience in a high school lockdown. Other topics are The Revenant, a Kylie Jenner interview, and an Old Man Yells At Cloud concerning a bonkers study about sexual media and education. We can be your hero, baby.

Other topics include: a quick McStay family murder update, an Old Man Yells At Cloud about PETA and the "Selfie Monkey", and a Florida Man featuring a South Carolina couple's experience with a new synthetic drug called flakka. Plus, the episode ends with a special Frankie Grande themed rendition of Cell Block Tango. He had it coming!

Halloween happened and so did Caitlin's college a cappella group reunion and you get to hear all the stories. This week's big story however is Leah Remini's new book Troublemaker and all it's juicy details about Scientology and Tom Cruise. Alex's latest commercial is out and Caitlin has taken up a hobby in her partial hospitalization program, plus Alex had to deal with some rude customers at the hostel this week. Other topics include: Justin Bieber's dad tweeting something truly awful, an Old Man Yells At Cloud featuring a litigious Connecticut woman, and a principal who lost her job for being in a Trey Songz music video. Okay, but what does a principal actually do, though?

Alex celebrates his 21st birthday (again) and Caitlin talks about the looney tunes she dealt with at her most recent open mic. This week's topics include Dov Charney and American Apparel going bankrupt, a Florida Man who got too high, and Rage Against The Machine bassist Tim Commerford's conspiracy theory laden interview with Rolling Stone. We're finally back! Caitlin explains why the show was on hiatus and Alex recounts his first karaoke experience. This week's topics include: A company asking people to not have sex with the robots they sell, Morrissey's latest novel, and a poorly conceived cheer routine.

It wouldn't be an episode of Almost Famous if we didn't squeeze a couple of stories in at the end however, so Alex and Caitlin discuss the Zayn Malik/Calvin Harris feud and a "Lord of the Rings" inspired Go Fund Yourself.
