EP21: Money + Men with Hilary Hendershott
02/06/2016 Duración: 47minSome of you may know that a not-so-secret passion of mine is personal finance. It may my love of number crunching, graphs, or the satisfaction of reaching numerical goals, but I love it. I met Hillary in a women's podcasting group on Facebook, and of course she caught my eye because of her expertise in personal finance. I read more of her stuff, I realized that yes... she'll help you crunch the numbers, but she also coaches her clients around the mindset of their money. And she specifically works with women. When I reached out to her to ask if she had opinions about men, dating, relationships, and money she said, 'ooooh yeah.' So here it is! Here’s what you’ll learn: How money beliefs hold you back to creating the wealth + lifestyle you want How to talk money with your honey How to handle making more than your partner The importance of being in a financial relationship with your partner Who pays on a date? Once you’re in a relationship who pays? About Hilary: Hilary Hendershott, MBA, CFP® is the Founder of

Ask V: What goes in your self-care routine + what do you put on your skin
26/05/2016 Duración: 28minI’m flying solo this episode for the first time in quite a while, but it seems to be a perfect thing to do coming off the Date Yourself Challenge. Y’all, the Date Yourself Challenge BLEW me away. When I ran the challenge back in February, 175 women went through the challenge. This past round, over 600 women did the challenge. The energy was incredible, and I can’t tell you how many women joined with ‘little expectation’ of how it’ll help and were then blown away by the results they got. Women reported feeling more confident, happier, and more like themselves in years. Anyways, this Ask V is the first episode of its kind. I find that I get asked the same questions again + again. Instead either a) answering it over + over and/or b) not giving a thorough answer {the comments in the Facebook group can only do so much!}, I thought I'd occasionally do an Ask V episode to answer common questions. The question is, I get asked all the time about my skincare regimen. And this just happens to be a topic I could go on +

EP20: Divorce Isn't Your Destiny + Keeping Long-Term Relationships Fresh with Andrea Hood
20/05/2016 Duración: 47minToday on the podcast I interview Andrea Hood, she’s a health coach + co-host of the podcast Badass + Bare. When I first asked Andrea onto the show she was unsure of how she could be helpful. She's never actually dated! But, she's 11 years strong with her hubby, so I wanted to know how she does it, and how they keep their relationship fresh + exciting. She also shares her story of how both her + her husband come from a long line of divorce, but both worked hard to not repeat the same patterns + mistakes their family members made. I really loved this conversation in particular, because whether we like it or not, our parents have a huge influence on how we see ourselves + how we relate to others. And the more we resist becoming like our parents, the more we become like them. Andrea shares how she broke that cycle + is creating a new pattern for her relationship with her husband. As you listen, here's what you'll learn: The exact moment she realized she was recreating the marriage between her parents How getting

EP19: On Great Love with Jessie Artigue
12/05/2016 Duración: 01h01minToday on the podcast I interviewed one of my podcast crushes, Jessie Pepper. Jessie, along with her husband, is a co-host one of my favorite podcasts, Marriage is Funny. My favorite thing about their show is their quest for great love, rather than perfect love. I really wanted to ask her to be on my show for a while, but I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit nervous to do it. I was sure she'd say no, and then I'd feel crappy for a few days. Then of course, I saw the staggering parallels between what it meant for me to ask Jessie to be on my show, and my clients going out of their comfort zone to go on dates. Here's what you’ll learn: Why striving for great love, rather than perfect love creates amazing relationships The importance of knowing yours + your partner’s love language Managing conflict in a loving, heartfelt way How self-care directly affects her relationship with Gerard, and it helps her to move into a place of seeing her chronic pain as a gift rather than burden About Jessie: Jessie Artigue is a lifest

EP18: A Date Yourself Story: How Dating Herself Changed My Client's Life
05/05/2016 Duración: 36minI did something a littledifferent today. When I tell women about the power of dating yourself + about thechallenge, I find I get 1 of 2 responses:A: That sounds awesome! I lovethat, I don’t give myself enough ‘me’ time, and that’s something Iwant to work on.B: You mean like buying myselfflowers, little gifts, or going out by myself? I don’t get it. I dothat all the time, and it hasn’t helped me.Well, my guest on the show todayISN’T another wellness, self-care, or lifestyle expert {but I lovethose guests too!}. Today, my guest is Debbie Novitsky, and she isa Date Yourself Challenge alumna + one of my clients inside theDating Mindset Bootcamp. In this episode, Debbie shareshow dating herself helped her:Stopwaiting on him to find herBecome more magnetic to the people aroundherNotjust love herself, but do THIS insteadBuilther confidence to live the life she dreamed of + build her ownbusinessJoin the Date Yourself Challenge {the fun starts May 13th}:veronicagrant.com/dateyourselfchallengeGrab the show notes: veronic

EP17: Kaila Prins on Body Image, Discovery After Recovery, and Burlesque Dancing
28/04/2016 Duración: 48minToday on Date Yourself Radio I’ve got Body Positive Wellness Coach Kaila Prins. I recently met Kaila through a women’s podcasting networking group, and when I learned about her story, I knew I wanted her to share it with you all. Kaila describes herself as a happy kid growing up, but once she realized that boys were a thing you could kiss, have crushes on, and be crushed on, it sent her down a path of not understanding who really owned her body. What I really loved about Kaila’s story is that her journey from disordered eating goes beyond recovery. She wanted to live beyond the “strong not skinny” mentality of many women recovering from disordered eating. She went into a phase she calls discovery, which is about filling the void of obsessing over food + exercise with other things. Enter pole + burlesque dancing. Aka, dating yourself. In this episode, Kaila shares:How she didn’t know her body belonged to herHow she started dating after recovering from orthorexia, anorexia, and exercise addictionHow recovery wa

EP16: How To Be Confident On A Date With Linda Ugelow
21/04/2016 Duración: 01h01minI can’t wait for you to meet today’s guest. Linda and I met about a year ago, and we’ve been get business friends. One thing she’s really helped me to do is to be comfortable connecting with my community {that’s you!} on video + my podcast. Before I met her, the thought of talking into a mic or talking on camera was just too much for me to handle, and now here I am with Date Yourself Radio, monthly webinars, and making videos for my community all the time.In the episode she talks about those tools + techniques and how they can help you show up confidently on a first date, or any date really, or even show up at a networking event, happy hour, or meet up group with confidence and with things to say. Here’s what you’ll learn:4 things you can start doing today to feel more confident in your bodyHow to spiritually prepare for a first dateHow to turn your self-consciousness into self-awareness on a dateHow to let go of thoughts of doubt, self-consciousness, and fear while on a dateTechniques to use + things to say wh

EP15: The Parallels Between A Healthy Relationship to Fitness + Healthy Relationships
14/04/2016 Duración: 43minMy journey in the self-development space began almost 10 years ago as a fitness instructor. I taught Cardio Combo, Kickboxing, Muscle Pump, the works. In fact, it was my experience as a fitness instructor that inspired my original business as a health coach. A lot of my students came into my fitness classes asking me to ‘work them hard’ because of what they ate the night or weekend before.I’m finally getting back into having a healthy relationship to fitness, which is why I was so excited about this interview. Tanja is spot ons, and I love the parallels she draws between a healthy relationship to fitness + healthy relationships. Here’s what you’ll learn:Why the goal behind your fitness goal is really what to focus on.How being so obsessed with weight loss + fitness can sabotage your current or future relationships. How to be okay with where you are now, but still have weight loss or fitness goals. About Tanja:Tanja is a west coast girl, born and raised in British Columbia. She loves climbing to the top of mount

They’re just recovering. As a recovering perfectionist, my guest I couldn't agree more.My whole life I was a perfectionist + overachiever. In fact, I remember shamefully throwing away a report card my senior year of high school because I made a B+ in calculus. In calculus! And it was at the college level! The thing is, being a perfectionist + chronic achiever can lead to great things: success, financial abundance, and yes, status. But when you die, all those things go away + don’t matter. And unfortunately, the perfectionist mentality keeps you from living a life of deeper meaning. This hit home for me, and I know it did for my guest today. Both of us had achieved so much, yet it was n

EP13: Debunking Sexual Myths + Dating with August McLaughlin
31/03/2016 Duración: 39minOn today’s episode, I’m so excited to introduce to you a nationally recognized health + sexuality expert, August McLaughlin. It’s possible to talk about all things dating + relationships without ever talking about how sex fits into the equation. Since we haven’t talked directly on the topic yet on this podcast, I can’t wait for you to listen in to this juicy episode.I especially loved this episode because the key to sexual empowerment + a satisfying sexual relationship with your partner runs parallel to everything I teach: dating yourself + treating yourself the way you want to be treated. As I said, August is a nationally recognized health + sexuality expert, and is host of Girl Boner Radio {Yes, you heard that right!}. Girl Boner is a show that celebrates women’s lives + sexuality “like no other.” I’m so excited that I’ll be coming onto her show in late May. {I’ll send you the episode when it’s live!}Here’s what we jam about in this episode:How soon is too soon to sleep with someone you’re dating, and what o

EP12: Love Lost, Life Found With Robyn Baldwin: A story of a canceled wedding, leaving a toxic relationship, and ignoring red flags
24/03/2016 Duración: 43minI’m so excited to share with you my interview with Robyn Baldwin. Robyn is a self-described Alpha Female + Work/Life Harmony Strategist. Her story, and her transformation afterward blew my mind. Four years ago, Robyn canceled her wedding after realizing the relationship she was in was a toxic + co-dependent. She stayed with a man that had his own shit to deal with. But her belief of unconditional love + that love conquers all made her stay, because she believed she could fix him + the relationship.Even after calling off the wedding, Robyn still struggled with putting herself first + literally could not be alone in her apartment.Even if you’ve never broken off an engagement or canceled your wedding, so much of her story is incredibly common. As you’re listening, consider these questions: In your current or a past relationship, did or do you believe that you are responsible for your partner’s happiness?Does unconditional love conquer all? At what point is for better or worse a bad idea? Are you operating under a

17/03/2016 Duración: 44minIf you’re in your 40s + dating, or want to date, then episode 11 of Date Yourself Radio is for you. Today on the show, I invited Jacqueline Parker-Court to talk all about how dating in your 40s is different than in your 20s or 30s.I teach a lot from my experience, and as a non-mom + someone who just entered her 30s, I’m so excited to bring Jacq to you. She has a blog, podcast, and video series that helps women navigate their late 30s + 40s. She also had her daughter at age 43, which I know will be an inspiration to many in this community. Here’s what you’ll learn:Jacq’s tips for what she WISHED she’d done in her 30s to make entering her 40s easier + more graceful. How red flags in your 40s are different than red flags in your 20s + 30s.Why learning about perimenopause + knowing your chronological age vs. biological age is important for childbirth in your late 30s + 40s.How to start dating again if you’re newly single.About Jacq:Jacq is a seasoned story teller and content producer with over 20 years experience i

You’re driven, you have big goals, and most of your friends were...male.If that doesn’t sound like you, I’m STILL willing to bet that at least once {but probably more} you viewed other women as “the competition” + have sized yourself up against other women. If that’s you, there’s no shaming or hard feelings, I’m pretty sure we’re all guilty of this, and so was my guest on Date Yourself Radio.Shannon lived most of her life in her masculine energy, secretly despising other women. In her mind, men were a scarce commodity, and other women were the competition. It wasn’t until she tapped into her own femininity + changed her relationship to other woman that she was able to attract the relationship she has today. In today’s episode, she shares that journe

EP09: Say Yes With Laura Yamin
03/03/2016 Duración: 31minFor links to the resources mentioned in the show, head over to veronicagrant.com/episode9~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I’ve got another fun episode for you today. If you’re finding yourself stuck in a rut, this episode is for you. It’s only human to get into a cycle of wake up, work, work out, eat dinner, netflix bed. I’m all about routines; they can bring groundedness + familiarity to our lives, which lord knows is comforting. But sometimes, it begins to feel like a rut, like we’re just going through the motions.Enter Laura Yamin. Laura is a career coach for millennials + fellow podcaster. Her podcast Say Yes Podcast is all about those moments we say yes to life. Really? It’s about bringing in more fun + opportunity into your life, wherever you are. Here’s what we jam about:Many of us focus on career first, THEN relationships. Laura says this is backwards + explains why.You don’t have to have your life’s purpose in your job. {Even this is a hard pill for me to swallow, even though intellectually, it makes sense t

EP08 How A Healthy Relationship To Food Attracts A Healthy Relationship With Casey Berglund
25/02/2016 Duración: 22minI am so excited about today’s episode. Casey {from worthyandwell.com} + I have been buds almost since my business’ beginning. It’s been really fun to have a friend where we got to birth our businesses, programs, and services into the world together. {This must be why moms who were pregnant together have unique + special bonds?! I think I’m kinda getting it.} Anyways, she’s a master at helping people heal their relationship to food, and eat for fuel, flavor, and fun. I adore Casey + what she teaches, mostly because she gave me a good excuse to use an analogy in my show notes {SAT, old school style}: Your relationship with yourself is to your romantic relationships, as _____ is to all your relationships. Give up? It's food! I love what Casey does because she doesn't teach you what to eat/not to eat. She teaches you how to use your own inner wisdom as a guide to know what to eat. This not only changes your relationship to food, it really changes all the relationships you have in your life. Food + my relationsh

EP07 How The Lemon Law Applies To Dating
23/02/2016 Duración: 19minIf you've been with me for a while, you know that I am {not so} secretly obsessed with How I Met Your Mother.I think the show is brilliant in how they portray dating + relationships. When I saw the episode where Barney explains his application of the Lemon Law, I thought it was genius, and I knew it would have to be a podcast episode. Now, the Lemon Law, when it comes to cars, means that if a car is defected or continues to break with repeated fixes, it falls under the Lemon Law. You can get your money back. When it comes to dating, according to Barney, the Lemon Law can be invoked within the first 5 minutes of a date if one or both parties "deems the union hopeless."Obviously, that's a bit shallow, and not what I'm advocating. In this week's episode, I'll explain what I AM advocating if a date isn't going so well, or if you aren't sure about your guy.Specifically, I'm talking about:The time I invoked the Lemon Law + left halfway through a dateIf he looks good on paper, but you aren't sure, should you keep seeing

EP06: 3 Steps To The Relationship You Desire
11/02/2016 Duración: 20minWhen I work with private or group clients, I have a very specific process I take them through. Why? Because I know it works. So often, when I see women who want to get serious about meeting someone they immediately download the latest dating app, start imagining their dream guy, or spend ALL their free time dating. The truth is, this doesn't work! At least not in the long term. You don't need another dating app, you can throw your perfect man list out, and if you spend ALL your time dating, you will burn out.Instead? I have 3 steps, and guess what, the first 2, don't even involve anyone else!If you're really serious about attracting the relationship you most desire, you've got to get serious with the relationship you have with yourself.I don't care if that sounds woo-woo or too warm + fuzzy for you, but it's the truth. It's a fact that the relationship we have with others is a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself. You can't expect someone to treat you like a queen if you yourself don't treat yourse
