This week, 8Ball is down one. Marc takes over hosting duties as Mike is “on assignment”. In his stead, we welcome back Carl McDowell from HBO’s Ballers. We begin the show with the Cleveland Indians extending their win streak. How do they compare to the recently listless LA Dodgers? What are some of baseball’s most impressive streaks? Act 2 starts with Carl’s projects. He tells us what he’s up to while he’s not shooting Ballers. 8Ball Sports welcomes our very own draft guru, Ethan Havenar to the show this week. We begin this week’s show discussing Hurricane Harvey and how J.J. Watt is stepping up to his adopted home; more so than some other, high profile athletes. Even some professional teams are behaving like babies. The second act is all fantasy football. This week 8Ball welcomes back Joey Caprio! We start off talking about ESPN pulling Robert Lee from calling a UVA football game in Charlottesville, VA. We easily transition to discussing what we would do if we had won the Powerball lottery for over $700 million. The first segment wraps with the Yankees/Tigers melee. Segment Two focuses on the most pathetic teams in the NFL for the 2017 season. Then we go to our way-too-early Super Bowl picks. If any of you can figure out how Eric picks the Giants as the worst and best team for 2017 in the same segment, please let me know. We wrap up with our final predictions for the Mayweather/McGregor fight. In a new segment, we guess celebrity ages.  

This week 8Ball welcomes back Tommy Caprio. Where was he last week? After half the show hosts are concert-shamed, we talk about the NFL power rankings. Who follows the #1 Patriots? NFL speed coach Gary Cablayan from Evo Sports Training joins us in the second segment. He talks about what a speed coach does, how he does it, and who he does it to. He gives us a few tips to increase OUR speed, as well. Before he signs off he tells us who to be on the look out for in next year’s NFL Combine. Will John Ross’ record only stand for one year? Finally, Mike kills the show’s buzz by talking about Ric Flair and his failing internal organs. We try to bring up our spirits by talking about our favorite professional wrestling memories. And we wrap up with discussion about our fantasy football league.
