It's awards season, so Paul and Jon give their Bafta and Oscar predictions for pretty much every category. Find out if they were right in coming weeks...

This week the Wrestler's up for discussion by Paul and Jon, together with 7 Pounds, Defiance, Role Models, and The Nines. Jon goes on a bit of a rant about having to avoid mentioning the ending of The Usual Suspects, given it's 14 YEARS OLD (ahem), 3D movies get debated, the "Desert Island Flick" is their favourite Tim Burton movie, and more...

Paul and Jon cover Slumdog Millionaire and Yes Man, being in the unusual position of both of them having seen both movies in the same week. Also, Paul berates Jon for editing last week's episode in such a way as to cover the tracks of a mistake Jon made (I still maintain no-one will have noticed), and they have a live studio audience of 1 person, plus a scary cat staring in at them through the window. Now-regular features include "this week in movie history" and "desert island flicks".

This week Paul covers Australia (the film, not the entire country), Jon covers The Spirit, and leaves slightly more confused than before he saw it, and they both review The Reader, which doesn't warrant a flippant addition because it's a serious film. "Desert Island Flicks" asks for their favourite black and white movie, producing an unexpected choice on both counts, and Paul hopes he hasn't caused the death of someone he knows by mistake. Or deliberately, come to think of it.

Paul and Jon sum up their best and worst movies of 2008, with a few entries you may expect, and a few surprises. The Dark Knight, Iron Man, In Bruges and others share praise, whereas Hancock and The Other Boleyn Girl cause disagreement. The worst films are all ripped into with great relish, covering Max Payne, Jumper, The Happening, and more.

Recorded in the aftermath of a Christmas meal, this week's podcast covers "Twilight", Christmas war movie "Merry Christmas", and Paul, Jon and Jenny discuss defining movies of their youth.

Jon realises the only way to enjoy Four Christmases is to essentially pretend you're watching a different film, and suffers through Failure to Launch specifically so he can bemoan its many failings. Paul goes the highbrow route with The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and finds a much better Christmas movie in the classic White Christmas. Also up for debate are special effects in older movies, films on TV over Christmas, and more.

This week Paul rants against Four Christmases, and Jon guiltily enjoys My Best Friend's Girl and Transporter 3. Also under discussion are The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Poseidon, bad CGI, Christmas movies, and more.

Paul and Jon discuss the new Clint Eastwood-directed Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie, as well as sharing views on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Sweeney Todd, Waz (or W Delta Z), Day Watch, and Waltz With Bashir. Plus they somehow go off on a tangent about Steve Guttenberg, and wonder why subtitled movies put some people off. The "Desert Island Flicks" category this week is musicals, and there's a guest appearance by Paul's housemate Jenny.

This week Paul delivers the results of a heavily cinematic weekend, covering Blindness, Quarantine, Zack and Miri, Choke, and others. Plus Paul and Jon discuss the likelihood of two friends finding love with each other.
