In 2022, Nebraska voters passed an initiative raising the minimum wage from $9 an hour up to $15 an hour by 2026, increasing by $1.50 each year. After that, the wage will be adjusted in accordance with cost of living increases.

Guilty verdict, life sentence in prison riot murder case

On Tuesday, a Saline County jury found fellow inmate Eric Ramos guilty of taking part in the murder.
