"Forgive me for the days I wasn't grateful." Disappointment in our circumstances can quickly lead us to doubting God's plans. Thankfully, God offers us grace, even for the times we fail to understand or appreciate His goodness.

In 2nd Corinthians, the apostle Paul tells us that God's power is made perfect in our weakness. Paul goes on to say that he rejoices in weakness, because he knows God can still use him. What does that mean for us? When we are too weak to face difficulty in our lives, we must rely on God.

We have all experienced resentment - that sense of anger we get when others hurt or betray us. When we do, our reaction is often to withhold grace from others, and to hold on to that resentment. But Jesus' grace teaches us that we need to show that same grace to others, because grace is always greater than resentment.

When someone hurts us, it can be difficult to forgive them. It can be equally hard to ask forgiveness from those we have hurt. Ultimately, the power to forgive comes from our understanding of grace. If we have been shown grace, how can we not show it to others? Jesus teaches us that grace can heal any wound.

Regret is a natural response to the mistakes we often make, but living in constant regret is dangerous. Regret should lead us to remorse, and remorse should lead us to repentance. It's there that we find grace. The beauty of grace is that it offers us freedom from our shame and regrets.

We all have sin in our lives, and most of us would never want to let others know about our secret sins. Yet, we know that understanding grace - the forgiveness of our sins - requires us to truly experience it for ourselves. The question is: do you believe that God's grace is greater and more beautiful than the brokenness of your sin?

When we think about sin, we often try to cover our mistakes or our bad choices by claiming that we are good people. After all, we aren't as bad as some other sinners. Why do we need grace if we're good people? The truth about sin and grace is about more than if we are good or bad- all sin makes us dead, and grace gives us new life.

In modern culture, we don't often think of ourselves as people who worship idols like the golden statues of the Bible. However, the Bible teaches us that idols are more than golden statues - they're anything we prioritize before God in our lives. In Daniel 3, we see a story of three men who stood up to idols, and we learn how important it is to make God our priority.

We often talk about the grace of God, and how we receive forgiveness from sin through Jesus Christ. This leads us to an important question - why do we need this grace and forgiveness? The answer: God's final judgment. Proverbs 6 shows us that God's eternal judgment against sin is serious, and also shows us the value of God's ultimate grace through Jesus.

Have you ever said something only to wish that you could take it back? Peter, one of Jesus' main disciples, had many moments like this, saying things he would later regret. Today, we look at one such moment in Matthew 16, and learn how Jesus gives us second chances.

In Romans 12:13, the apostle Paul calls Christians to "seek to show hospitality." What does this calling mean for how we connect to our church and our community? This week, we explore how we can live with open eyes, open hearts, and open homes, and how we can show hospitality.

This week, we return to the story of the Good Samaritan to learn about the three basic attitudes we can have in life. When we see others in need, how do we respond? Do we ask what's in it for us? Do we say it's not our problem? Or do we ask how we can help?

In Luke 10, Jesus tells the story of a man who is beaten and robbed on the Jericho Road, and another man who saves him. We often refer to this story as "the Good Samaritan," and focus on the actions of the Samaritan who helped the beaten man. However, there are important lessons to be learned from each of the many characters in this classic story.

Whether you are a new Jesus follower, or a lifelong Jesus follower, we are on a path of faith that will define how we live. The apostle Paul often refers to believers as running a race of faith, and says that we should not grow weary in doing so. Today, be encouraged by the book of Hebrews, which says we have a great cloud of witnesses cheering us on as we run.

What makes you cry? This sounds like an odd question, but it's an important one. What we mourn is a sign of what we prioritize. Nehemiah mourned the destruction of Jerusalem, the city of God. Do we prioritize God in our own lives, and mourn the things He mourns? Again- what makes you cry?
