Dave recaps on where we have been as we've looked at Jesus' teaching in Matthew 5. The Beatitudes are so much more than just nice thoughts, they are attitudes to be inhabited and displayed. Finishing off with Peace Makers and Persecuted, Dave looks at how our influence is based on more than just a reaction

Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they shall see God. Chris unpacks this attitude and looks at how each of the attitudes comes with a blessing, and evidence of the blessing. Why is it important that we are pure in heart?

Blessed are the Merciful. Anne looks at the passage as she continues our sunday series 'The Beautiful Attitudes'. What does mercy have to do with Mother's day and how does it fit as an attitude we should aspire to have?

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness for they shall be filled. What is the prime motivator in your life. Are you seeking your satisfaction in the world around you, in your work or maybe in your job. Whilst strictly speaking, that's not wrong, as Christians, we have a higher mandate to live up to. Pete unpacks how this single passage can shift our world view and should challenge us to our core.

Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted... Well, I don't know about you, but I don't feel particularly blessed when I'm mourning. In fact, this doesn't even seem to make sense. Especially when we look at it through our 21st Century lenses. Rob looks at this passage in a new light, looking at the passage in its original context and uncovers something that is pure gold for everyone of us.

Meekness... Even the word itself sounds like Weakness. But what is it? Dave looks at the meaning of Meekness and how it is a beautiful attitude that we should pursue.

So often we read the gospel of Mathew and kind of skim over the beatitudes. We take it as just another time where Jesus is exaggerating how different he is. 'Blessed are the poor in Spirit'... What does this mean? Dave takes a closer look at this passage and explains how 'The only way UP, is DOWN!'

As we ask the question "What is the wise thing for me to do?" we need to be aware of the consequences that this will have on our time. Leanne looks at applying this question to our time based decisions in order for us to move from regret to reward.

Temptation. It is one thing that every single person finds themselves in. It precedes all decisions we make, both Good and Bad. Rob looks at how Temptation can affect our lives and fundamentally how we respond to Temptation by asking the most important question. "In light of my past experiences, my current circumstances and my future hopes and dreams, what is the wise thing to do?".

Following on from last week where Dave told us the one question we should ask before making a decision. Dave looks at wisdom so that we can better discern what the wisest action might be for our choices in life.

So often we have to make important decisions. Often, these decisions can shape the outcome of our daily lives. We are assailed by many different options, and not all of those lead to the best results. What if I told you there was one question, which when asked, would help you make the best decisions for you. Dave looks at how we can make the most of our New Year by asking one question in order to make the great decisions.

Speaking at our Carols by Candlelight service, Kirk raises the question of whether Mary fully knew who her son was and what He would do. When the angel visited her, her response in that moment was crucial. How will you respond when God asks something of you?

Have you ever had a perfect Christmas? Dave looks at the original Christmas and discusses the perfect gift, on the perfect Christmas.

Leanne looks at the third gift given to Mary, Joseph and Jesus by the wise men. Frankincense. This was an incense burned during a Worship context.

Following on from Chris' introduction last week. David looks at another of the gifts given to young Jesus. Myrrh, focusing on its significance in 1st Century culture, David unpacks its symbolism of Jesus' sacrifice.

For so many, Christmas has become synonymous with presents and gifts. As we gear up for Christmas at LCC, Chris introduces our new series. Unwrapped: The Real Gifts of the Season. Starting with the Gold that was given to young Jesus by the Wise Men.

Following on from last weeks message by Dave about how being the Church calls us to GROW in Maturity, Leanne speaks about how we must GO in Diversity.

It's long been a common oxymoron within Christian Circles. The term 'Church' so often boils down an event, a location or a venue where Christians go. Dave continues to look at how that is fundamentally wrong. We don't go to Church, we ARE the Church.

The Church is not something we go to, nor is it an event for the end of each week. Dave looks at the Early Church in the New Testament and unpacks how WE ARE the Church.

How often are we in a situation what we don't understand? Leanne brings a message based in the book of Esther that speaks of not knowing why some things happen, but living purposefully in those times.
