Tom's guest today is local legend in the Journalism world with 40+ years under his belt. Don Effenberger is a local guy who understands state and local politics about as well as any journalist in town. He majored in journalism at the University of St. Thomas, started working as a reporter and then news editor at the Catholic Bulletin, and later moved on to the St. Paul Pioneer Press and MinnPost. One of MinnPost’s original editors when the site was launched in the fall of 2007. January 17, 2015

Today, we pay tribute to Joyce Lamont. In December, 2014 she passed away at the age of 98. For 40 years she was broadcasting at WCCO and KLBB and was famous for her warm and folksy voice. Today we hope we can help you understand just how special she was to Minnesotan Broadcasting. January 3, 2015

Ron Rosenbaum was a prominent radio personality known for hosting shows such as "holding court" on KFXN-FM 100.3 Ron was also a regular guest on the The Dan Barreiro Show where he talked about pressing current issues. Kate Roberts is senior exhibit developer at the Minnesota Historical Society, where she has worked in various capacities since 1989. She has served as lead developer on projects including Minnesota 150, a crowd-sourced exhibit marking the state’s sesquicentennial (Minnesota History Center, 2008); and Toys of the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s, which opened at the Minnesota History Center in 2014 and is now touring nationally.
