In February 1979 he joined the KARE 11 News Team in Minnesota as a general assignment reporter. He has received awards from AP, Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Academy of Television of Arts and Sciences. and International New York Film Festival. Minnesota writer, musician, and former radio talk show host on WCCO NewsRadio 830 based in Minneapolis. He was formerly employed at City Pages, a Twin Cities alternative news, arts and entertainment publication. For 17 years he hosted The Mischke Broadcast on am1500 KSTP. His show featured quirky regular callers, a stream of consciousness humor, and experts on any topic he found interesting. Since 1998, Mischke has been the winner of the "Best AM Radio Personality" award given by the local weekly alternative newspaper City Pages nine times. April 26, 2014

Jim du Bois’ career in radio and TV spans nearly four decades. As a reporter, he’s covered everything from national political conventions to the conflict in Iraq. du Bois is the president/CEO of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association where he’s focused on transitioning traditional broadcasting to digital platforms. He was recognized by the National Association of Broadcasters in 2009 for helping to create a nationwide education program on the digital television transition. A proud Golden Gopher, du Bois is the past chair of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.

Barry ZeVan was an incredibly significant figure in the tv weather reporting world. He's been in broadcasting nearly 40 years and has no plans of quitting. He helped pioneer the idea of a weatherman being a personality, or being more than just a weatherman. Rick Shefchik is an American novelist, nonfiction writer, and journalist. He is the author of the novels Amen Corner, published in 2007, Green Monster, published August 1, 2008, Frozen Tundra, published in 2010 by North Star Press and Rather See You Dead, e-published in 2011. In 2012, he released his first nonfiction, From Fields to Fairways: Classic Golf Clubs of Minnesota. In 2015, he released Everybody's Heard About the Bird: The True Story of 1960s Rock 'n' Roll in Minnesota. (University of Minnesota Press).
