Mike Fairbourne was a part of an important change in the televised weather reporting world back in the late 70's when he first started. He was the first certified meteorologist at WCCO and established a certain standard that is still followed today. While Mike is no longer reporting the weather, his influence can still be seen to this day. Today we're going to talk with Mike about his career and what he best remembers from his days reporting the weather. November 23, 2013

Ralph Jon Fritz is a long time member of the local broadcasting community. He first got his start right here in Stillwater, 1958 at KLBB. Bob DeFlores grew up surrounded by the entertainment community. He was born in San Francisco and raised in Hollywood, where his parents performed in movies, radio, and nightclubs. Since then he has worked to preserve those old school films, over the past 50 years he has located and preserved hundreds of films from 1900 to 1950: newsreels, comedies, sports footage, features, and more. Ron Rosenbaum was a prominent radio personality known for hosting shows such as "holding court" on KFXN-FM 100.3 Ron was also a regular guest on the The Dan Barreiro Show where he talked about pressing current issues. At the time of recording this podcast Ron was privately practicing law and enjoying life. Sadly, he recently passed away, but this interesting conversation still remains. August 31, 2013

Paul Stagg was 15 when he started his announcing career at KWLM in his hometown of Willmar. That was in 1957. In the 1960’s Paul moved to WDAY Radio and Television in Fargo, then to the Twin Cities for over 20 years, 18 of them with WCCO Radio and Television. Bernie Grace was a news director at radio stations in Virginia and Rhode Island. He then worked at television stations in Orlando, Fl, and Richmond, Va. In February 1979 he joined the KARE 11 News Team in Minnesota as a general assignment reporter. He has received awards from AP, Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Academy of Television of Arts and Sciences. and International New York Film Festival.
