Life will be good when_____. Ever found yourself thinking that? In the third week of ‘Potpourri’ Pastor AJ Plaizier spoke on the idea that life often mimics a rollercoaster in that ups and downs happen no matter our work to avoid the hard and prolong the good. Psalm 23 gives us an understanding not only of what we can do in the hard and good but more importantly – who God IS. We can’t always know why but we can engage in the what for our current season.

God is unchanging. There are times in which the voice and spirit of God will call us to learn anew, hear with freshness and transform that which we know of Him. In this message Pastor Dave shares with honesty about the journey is on with God, a journey that has required him to shift in order to see things differently. Where does your journey with God find you today? What are you learning to unlearn?

The foundation of any healthy relationship is communication. The foundation of good communication is of course talking but also listening. Pastor Jamie spoke on the fact that his listening has shifted, he has learned to “listen differently”. God has been speaking for many years and the question is not if we can or can’t hear Him – maybe the question is… why do we want to? For many there is a sense of unworthiness or feelings of not being _____ enough. God is speaking to you, friend. You are His and He is yours – listen anew today.

A brief study through the letter of 1 John and how to let our light shine in this dark world.

This series has taught us a few different areas in our lives in which Christmas seems to ruin or switch around our understanding. In the third week of Christmas Ruins Everything Pastor Mark preaches on the bigger picture behind this series. Jesus seems to be a ‘taker’ in requiring us to lay down everything for Him but… what if He’s the ultimate giver? Jesus isn’t taking from you, He’s reshaping how you see… well, everything! It’s not an easy endeavor to be in complete partnership with Jesus but it’s good. Christmas ruins your life.

The Lord’s Prayer could actually be The Disciples Prayer. Jesus has us pray not personal prayer but a communal prayer. What happens when intercede? What happens when we have the boldness to truly pray about “Our Father” and not just my Father?

Prayer is a connection – communication with God. In this message Pastor John speaks on the idea that when we pray, when we talk to God, we are making the connection that we are looking for His guidance. Do we always get what we pray for? No. Does that mean that God isn’t for us? No. John speaks to the fact that The Lord’s Prayer is about us seeking the will of God and then – aligning ourselves accordingly. Easy? No. Good? Always.

“Thy will be done” – there’s a lot to chew on in those four small words. In week three of our Verbatim series, Pastor Mark speaks into the will of God and how we operate in this idea with God. How do we know His will? How do we discern how to walk in His will? God has a plan for your life but what exactly is it? Do you ever feel like you just can’t seem to figure this all out? Forgiveness is layered. There are many complexities that come on the journey of forgiveness, many things to work through – its a process but one that usually starts with a moment. In week two of Verbatim, Pastor Dave talks about what unforgiveness can do to us and how to recognize the moment that can start a journey to freedom.

We know that God values prayer but have you ever struggled in this area? Ever felt like you just can’t seem to get into a groove in your communication with God? In this first sermon in our ‘Verbatim’ series Pastor Jamie speaks transparently about his prayer journey and leads our community in a prayer experience.

While we’ve reached the end of our Vision Series, we stand on the starting line of working it out. This past weekend we talked about Holy Spirit and how all the parts of this vision can come alive if we walk them in-step with the Spirit. This isn’t just for Church services but also – for each of us. Are we hearing from the Spirit? Are we comforted by the Spirit? Are we moving with the Spirit? What can this year look like if we do all things in partnership with the Spirit?

Growth for the sake of a number can be destructive. Instead of growing for the sake of it, what if we grew because of the relationships we are building with Jesus and each other?

Rest is a good thing – God calls it holy. So, what is rest? Is it just simply taking a nap or is there something more to it? Join in for the third week of our vision series where we talk about the importance of rest.
